The Mission of MEKOS Invert Youth Outreach is to provide children, youth, and young adults access to a safe and friendly environment where they can shred, skateboard, BMX, in-line skate, and other action sports. We make special efforts to serve at-risk youth, special needs youth, autistic youth, homeschool youth, and minorities.
MEKOS Invert Youth Outreach is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that strives to foster growth not only in our community but in the skateboard industry through local, regional, and state competitions.
Mount Trashmore Skate Park

About Us:
Mount Trashmore Skate Park is a 24,000 square foot extensive street course flowing from an aboveground, seven-foot deep bowl. The skate park components are framed with treated wood and completely covered with composite material. It boasts a Skatelite Pro skating surface that skateboarders, inline skaters, and BMX bikers can enjoy. Adjacent to the skate park is a competition-sized vert ramp that stands at a massive 13.5 feet tall and 40 feet wide.
Laurel Skatepark

Laurel Skate Park is a fun and safe place for both youth and adults to skate. The Skate Park has a free skate area of 6,700 square feet with ramps, rails, a half-pipe, and bowl. So get your skateboards, in-line skates or BMX/Freestyle bikes and give it a try! Laurel Skate Park is always staffed during operating hours and admission is free for all ages. Participants are required to wear helmets, elbow and kneepads, wrist guards, shirts, and shoes. Shin guards are also required for bike riders.
Lake Fairfax Park

For recreation and fun in western Fairfax, this 476 acre park includes a 20-acre lake with fishing, the Water Mine family Swimmin' Hole, boat rentals, carousel, athletic fields, picnic shelters and picnic areas with grills, a playground, restrooms, campgrounds, trails and a skatepark.
The Water Mine Family Swimmin' Hole features tubing on the Rattlesnake Lazy River, a tot pool at Tenderfoot Pond, slides, tunnels, and interactive play features designed for young children. The Water Mine is open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.

The campground, picnic areas , playground, trails and skatepark are open year-round. Virginia State fishing license is required, and sailboats, gasoline and electric-powered boats and swimming are prohibited in the lake.

McIntire Skate Park Rules
- All patrons must check in with the attendant and sign a waiver form (parent must sign if under the age of 18) Forms CANNOT be completed by another child's parent.
- Anyone 18 and over must have proof of age in order to complete the forms without a parent signature.
- Skaters must be a minimum of 5 years old to skate (provide helmets and pads). Children 10 and under must be supervised at all times with a parent or guardian.
- Food and drink are not permitted within the skate park.
- Loud or Foul language will not be tolerated.
- Inappropriate conduct will not be permitted.
- Treat the skate park, staff and others with respect
- All protective equipment is to be used in the proper manner and returned following use.
- Smoking is prohibited in the skate park
- Good sportsmanship is expected for all activities.
- There are no fees for the use of the skate park.
- The City of Charlottesville has the discretion to close the skate park facility due to inclement weather, wet surfaces or any other unsafe conditions at any time.
- The City of Charlottesville has the discretion to limit the number of participants for any given session due to safety issues.
- Anyone caught in Skate Park during closed hours will be subject to trespass infractions as well as suspension of park privileges.
- Failure to abide by the above listed rules and regulations may result in removal from Skate Park.
Dress Code
- All skaters and bikers must wear a helmet, knee and elbow pads
- Appropriate clothing must be worn (i.e. shirt, shorts/sweats)
- Proper footwear is expected, no bare feet or flip-flops
Warren County Skatepark
100 Kerfoot Avenue, Front Royal, VA
The Warren County Skate Park is a 15,000 square foot facility that is open to the public for use by skate boarders, in-line skaters, and scooter and bmx bike riders. The Park is located at 101 Kerfoot Avenue, adjacent to the Skyline Soccerplex, and operates daily from dawn to dusk. Skaters under the age of 14 are required to be accompanied by an adult and all participants are required to wear a commercially manufactured helmet at all times.
Roanoke Skate Park

The Roanoke, Texas, Skate Park is open as of January 29, 2015! It is located across from Hawaiian Falls, right next to Cannon Parkway Park.
