Trim Tab Brewing Company
2721 5th Avenue South, Birmingham, AL
Our Story:
The creation of TrimTab Brewing Co. was a long, winding journey. Its members came from all walks of life, on different paths of their own - but all were bound by a love for craft beer, and a calling to leave the world a better place than they found it. The process of forming the company took over two years and involved the input of many passionate people.
To learn the story of TrimTab is to learn about those people. We each have our own role, but we all have a common calling - to create complex, balanced beer and to celebrate small sources of big change. For us, craft beer is a way to make our community a more vibrant, enriching place to live, and it requires more than us, and more than craft beer - it requires you.
Manifesto:
 - We believe that small sources are responsible for large-scale change, and it is our role to champion, support and create a space for people to demonstrate that possibility.
 - We are aligned by a belief that this is more than a job, our lives are more than consequence, and that community is something that we create and are responsible for.
 - We believe it is possible to change the world and have a damn good time while we do it.
 - We believe our voices matter, that our thoughts are real, and that our language creates our entire world.
 - We believe that beer is a springboard for creating community and that as brewers we hold a special role and responsibility in it.
Good People Brewing Company
114 14th Steet South, Birmingham, AL
Our Story:
We never imagined that our passion for brewing would become a business. But, thousands of hours, hundreds of hiccups, two abandoned day jobs, and one business license later, Good People Brewing Company was born, with the sale of our first keg on July 4, 2008, in our hometown of Birmingham, Alabama. And, so far, so good. Our offerings now include five year-round brews, four seasonals, and an occasional one-off. Good People is now enjoyed by folks in Alabama and Tennessee, most of whom we don't actually know yet. And, according to BeerAdvocate, a leading voice in the beer community, the four highest-rated beers in the South are ours. We're honored that people seem to think we know what we're doing.
Cahaba Brewing Company
4500 5th Ave South Building C, Birmingham, AL
About Us:
Cahaba Brewing Company was founded in the summer of 2011 by a group of friends united by their love of craft beer and home brewing. Together, they devised a plan to build a brewery in beautiful Birmingham, Alabama.
The group found an excellent location for the brewery in the Pepper Place/Lakeview district of Birmingham on 3rd Avenue South. The 8000 square foot building houses the brewery and tasting room and the building was selected for it's location, layout, and opportunity for expansion.
From the beginning, Cahaba Brewing Company has had the goal of providing Birmingham with clean and consistent craft beers with a broad variety of flavors and styles. To do this, Cahaba hand selected and assembled the brewing equipment necessary for the job. As luck would have it, our friends at Straight To Ale, in Huntsville, were in the process of upgrading their brewery and they had just purchased all of the brewery equipment from Old Town Brewery. After purchasing Straight To Ale's equipment, we were just about ready to go. With a few struggles and hurdles to jump, we started brewing beer in the late spring of 2012 and officially opened to the public in September 2012. The current set-up consists of a Premier Stainless 3.5 bbl brewhouse outfitted with four 7 bbl fermenters, two 15 bbl fermenters (Frank) & (Stein), and three 7 bbl brite tanks.

Back Forty Beer Company
200 N. 6th Street, Gadsden, AL
Back Forty Beer Company's name is inspired by an old agricultural term referring to the 40 acres of land situated furthest from the barn. The back 40 acres are historically the most challenging land to maintain and are often overlooked due to their remote location. Likewise, Alabama is widely seen as the wasteland for craft beer in America. With mass produced light beer being the drink of choice for many Southerners, the craft beer market here has been largely ignored. However, if you dig a little deeper into the story of the back 40 you will see that because the soil is rarely used, it's very fertile and is actually capable of producing a tremendous yield. And just like the farm, the Deep South's craft beer culture is fertile and primed for harvest.
Druid City Brewing Company
700 14th Street, Tuscaloosa, AL
Druid City Brewing company is a shining example of the power of the proverbial bar napkin sketch, and the success that can come out of it. Brewery co-owners Bo Hicks and Elliott Roberts started getting involved with brewing craft beer about 5 years ago. After so long, the friends discussed how cool it would be for Tuscaloosa, Ala. to have its own brewery. Druid City's first legal beer was brewed on November 23, 2012, which was sold at Egans. That same night Grammy nominated four-piece "Alabama Shakes" played under an alias name for the night.
After about a year and a half of brewing and completing the necessary background checks from the FBI, the Druid City Taproom opened for business on July 11. Now, Druid City can be found all across the state, and our taproom is open 7 days a week!
Folklore Brewing and Meadery
153 Mary Lou Lane, Dothan, AL
Our brewery is built on the old family farm on the outskirts of Dothan, AL where we have room to grow and expand for future production needs. We are hopeful to complete our Meadery this year and fulfill all Federal Licensing requirements in order to be allowed to produce Mead, which is Honey wine! You are welcome to come out on Tasting/Tour days for a fresh sample of what's brewing. We usually have no less than 10 different beers available on tap. You must have a valid I.D. and be 21 years of age or older.
Tallulah Brewing Company

Fairhope Brewing Company
914 Nichols Avenue, Fairhope, AL
It started with a mutual love of beer and the same resounding question: Why isn't there a local craft brewery in Lower Alabama? We all asked it, and while others may sit around and bemoan the answer, we decided to do something about it. That was way back in the year 2012, and while we didn't know it at the time, that one question would lead to the adventure of a lifetime for a bunch of beer geeks (parading as lawyers and journalists) who were simply looking to slake the thirsts of beer lovers along the Gulf Coast.
On the back porch of a quitessential Midtown Mobile home, Brian sipped - and enjoyed - a selection of beers with Dan Murphy, a homebrewer and beer columnist for the local newspaper who had been working for years to cultivate a better beer culture in Lower Alabama. Brian was sold on the beer and on Dan, but he still wanted to know what others thought of these handcrafted concoctions.
After connecting with the president of Free The Hops, Gabe Harris, and having him join the team, Brian traveled to Atlanta to meet some college buddies and seek out investors. It just so happened that Brian's law school roommate, Jim Foley, was also in town and intrigued by Brian's new project. Upon taking his first sip off what would become Fairhope 51, Jim knew this was some craft beer he could get behind. At the point, the team was assembled and the decision was made: We were going to open Lower Alabama's first production craft brewery since prohibition.
Our first batch of beer was brewed less than a year later, on Dec. 21, 2012, what was supposed to be the end of the world according to the Mayans. If the world was going to end, then by God, we were going to have at least one batch of beer in a fermenter when it happened. What was supposed to be the end of the world was actually the start of a process that would bring a great amount of joy to the Gulf Coast portions of Alabama. Fortunately for all of us, the world kept on spinning and our first batch of Everyday Ale kept on fermenting, and on Jan. 6, 2013, the Fairhope Brewing Company opened its doors to an eager public thirsty for locally crafted beer made with only the finest ingredients.
