Golf Club at Red Rock, Rapid City, SD

The Golf Club at Red Rock has more awards than it does holes! The 18-hole course has been voted “best in state” by GolfWeek Magazine, “best golf course in South Dakota” by Golf Digest, and “best in South Dakota” by Top100GolfCourses.co.uk. Each hole is distinctive and provides unique challenges. There is a practice facility which includes target greens, short-game practice area, and a large undulated practice green. After a day of golf in the sun, relax with a drink and a delicious meal at the onsite bar and grill, The Rock. 

Prairie Green Golf Course, Sioux Falls, SD

Sioux Fall’s Prairie Green Golf Course has won several awards for its affordability and quality. It is currently the highest rated public course in the region. It features breathtaking prairie environments that eastern South Dakota is famous for! 

Southern Hills Golf Course, Hot Springs, SD

Located in the southern Black Hills, Hot Spring’s Southern Hills Golf Course is an 18-hole course with breathtaking views of the surrounding scenery. There are five different teeing areas and a junior tee, so players have a variety of options available. Tee times can be scheduled online. Southern Hills Golf Course offers multiple leagues for players of varying interests and skill levels. Leagues include a men’s league, women’s league, and couple’s league.

Hart Ranch Golf Course, Rapid City, SD

Surrounded by hills and ponderosa pine forests, Hart Ranch Golf Course is in Rapid City, the “gateway to the Black Hills.” The 18-hole course is rewarding for golfers of every skill level. They have been listed in Golf Digest as one of the best “Places to Play,” due to the wonderful course and the friendly service. It has also hosted numerous South Dakota State Championship events. 

Elkhorn Ridge Golf Club, Spearfish, SD

Elkhorn Ridge is an 18-hole course with over 285 feet of elevation change, hidden canyons, crystal clear streams, and sprawling greens. This course also has a practice facility with double-ended driving range, multiple target greens, and greenside practice bunker for short-game practice. There are five teeing areas, so golfers of all ability and interest can enjoy this course to its fullest. 

The Bridges at Beresford Golf Course, Beresford, SD

The Bridges at Beresford is a scenic nine-hole, par 36 public golf course. Apparel, equipment, food, and beverages are available at the Clubhouse, located on site. Many tournaments are hosted throughout the year, for a variety of skill levels and interests. 

Meadowbrook Golf Course, Rapid City, SD

This course is in Rapid City, only a short walk from Canyon Lake Park. The 18-hole course was voted “Black Hills Best” golf course by the Rapid City Journal Reader’s Choice Awards in 2012 and 2013. One of the course’s main features is Rapid Creek, as the water comes into play on nine holes. It has hosted several championship tournaments, including the 2009 and 2010 NAIA College Women’s National Golf Championships. 

Lakeview Municipal Golf Course, Mitchell, SD

The Lakeview Municipal Golf Course has 18 holes, reasonable prices, and is very good quality. The driving range is over 200 yards wide and 300 yards long with a variety of target distances, allowing players of all abilities to hone their sport. The Clubhouse is located at the course and has rentals, snacks, beverages, showers, and equipment. Golf lessons can be scheduled. 

Cattail Crossing Golf Course, Watertown, SD

This recently renovated 27-hole course that is perfect for golfers of all levels! It is located on the scenic Lake Kampeska, and offers a practice green, driving range, and scheduled lessons!

Rocky Knolls Golf Course, Custer, SD

This golf course is lined by ponderosa pines, making the holes require good accuracy. It is a nine-hole, par 36 course. Tee times can be made up to two weeks in advance and can be reserved by calling the golf course at 605-673-4481!
