The 9 Best Breakfast Spots in Pennsylvania!

pa breakfast spot

Our nation’s ultimate breakfast lover, Ron Swanson of “Parks and Recreation,” once said that there is nothing more noble to go to war over than bacon and eggs. When you’re gearing up for a big day, or recovering from a big night, breakfast need not be a struggle. Whether you choose a cozy city cafe, down and dirty diner, or rustic country kitchen, our list of best Pennsylvania breakfasts is near impossible to beat.

Sabrina’s Cafe, Philadelphia, PA

With five BYOB locations scattered throughout the city, Sabrina’s Cafe is as accessible as it is delicious. Try the Instagram-worthy stuffed challah French toast, or the more sensible “Tofu Scramble,” from a diverse, vegan-friendly menu.

DeLuca’s Diner, Pittsburgh, PA

Since 1950, DeLuca’s has been serving up one of the best breakfasts in the state. Now operating two locations in the ‘burgh, that tradition of delicious food and quality service remains unbroken. Choose from pancakes, crepes, waffles, and egg dishes, all superb whether you dine in or take out.

Mansour’s Market Cafe, Scranton, PA

Mansour’s is a place that relishes the intense pleasure food can bring. Simple but special dishes, meant to be savored. Not ideal for rushed eating, but truly perfect for long, luxurious breakfasts with old friends or new loves. Try the outstanding breakfast quesadilla or their famous “Granana,” a banana wrapped in peanut butter, granola, and honey.

Dienner’s Country Restaurant, Ronks, PA

There’s a reason the Pennsylvania Dutch are known for their food, and Dienner’s is the optimal example. Whether you choose buffet or à la carte, this breakfast experience is just about unbeatable. Run by individuals raised in the Amish tradition, the warmth and community at Dienner’s Country Restaurant is palpable, even if it’s your first time through the door.

Cafe La Maude, Philadelphia, PA

Simply the place in Philly for brunch, Cafe La Maude is a refreshing change of pace from the typical American style breakfast. A seamless blend of European and Lebanese flavors, this Northern Liberties staple never fails to impress. Try the Beiridge, a divine take on traditional oatmeal, or something a bit more exotic like Parisian Zá.

Diner 248, Easton, PA

No matter your tastes, Diner 248 has you covered. Their entire menu is a delight, but their breakfast offerings truly put things over the top and make this Easton spot a “best of.” Try the carnitas eggs benedict, complete with chipotle hollandaise, and be sure to sample the mango mimosa.

The Dor-Stop Restaurant, Dormont, PA

A local favorite that rose to national prominence due to a feature on “Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives,” the Dor-Stop has not lost sight of hometown roots. Serving up incredible pancakes, alongside other knockouts such as stuffed raspberry French toast. Friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere boost this Pittsburgh treat easily onto our list.

Gracie’s on West Main, Leola, PA

The result of a multiple-generational family of food professionals, Gracie’s is just about as close to perfect as breakfast can get. Though somewhat meat-centric, the Gracie’s menu has several solid vegetarian offerings, and is extensive enough to please every palate. The drink menu is equally impressive, serving up frozen coffee drinks, smoothies, and even a high octane “Red Eye” coffee, strong brewed with an added shot of espresso.

Pamela’s Diner, Pittsburgh, PA

Once again, Pittsburgh proves itself a city for breakfast lovers. Pamela’s Diner, now operating in six locations, is a solid staple of Steel City. Choose from a cash-only menu featuring famous crepe-style pancakes and equally glorious malted waffles.
