Our winery is located 5 miles east of Sparks Oklahoma where in the 1900s a French immigrant paved the way to a land of vineyards. Mr. Leon C. Fouquet, an entrepreneur and award-winning fruit grower, farmed a parcel of land northwest of Sparks and had 100 acres of fruit trees and 14 acres of grape vines planted by the 1910s. Mr. Fouquet named his homestead the Dreamland Fruit Farm to celebrate the fulfillment of his American dreams. His work not only embodies genuine pioneer spirit but also bestows a legendary chapter to the history of wine growing in Oklahoma.Â
Tres Suenos Winery
19691 East Charter Oak Road, Luther, OK
Open: Year-round
The wine scene in Oklahoma is growing. We are proud that Tres Suenos has been on the scene for almost 20 years as one of the earliest working vineyards in our modern wine era. (Did you know that the state tried to make a go of making wine back during Land Run until a little thing called prohibition stopped it?) Since the 1990s, Richard Kennedy, owner and wine-maker, has crafted his art and the results are enjoyed by thousands of visitors each year with each turn of a corkscrew. Because we only use local grapes from our vineyard or our neighbors' vineyards, our wine list varies but almost always includes the renowned Oklahoma Select White or Anniversary Red, our bold Charter Oak, the whimsical Viognier and many others. Our story is ripe with dramatic tales of vines and wine and dreams and a lot of passion and hard work. Your drive on a red dirt road is worth it and gives you a story too. Bring a picnic, sit among the pine trees overlooking the vineyard and enjoy.
