Bear Republic Brewing Company Factory 5
110 Sandholm Lane, Cloverdale, CA
The story of Bear Republic, like most other craft brewers, begins with homebrewing. It was the spark for our passion to create quality, hand-crafted beers.
We are a family-owned brewery, located in the heart of Sonoma County, California. Why did we decide to craft beers among the grapevines of California's world-famous Wine Country? Simple. This is where we are from. Founded by 3rd and 4th generation Sonoma County residents, we are family-owned and team-oriented.
From brewer to bottler, everyone that works (and plays) together at Bear Republic is dedicated to bringing you fresh, never-filtered craft beer.
Our first beer, Ricardo's Red Rocket Ale, is an example of our hop-forward approach without fear of stepping outside the style-guidelines. Each of our beers, from our flagship IPA, Racer 5, to any of our specialty brewpub-only releases, are carefully crafted with pride in Sonoma County, California.
Fall River Brewing Company
1030 East Cypress, Suite D , Redding, CA
Fall River Brewing Company was founded during the winter of 2011 when John and Amanda Hutchings wrote out separate "bucket" lists. One of the items on both lists was the desire to own their own business. John, the founder and co-owner of the company, had been a home brewer and had developed a passion for the craft. As project manager in the construction industry, John learned much that translated to running a successful business and often found himself brewing beer until the early morning hours after long days at work. This passion continued to grow as John learned more about the craft. Soon thereafter, John and Amanda created Fall River Brewing Company and have enjoyed sharing craft beer with others in the far Northern California and beyond since!
Brent
The team also includes Taphouse Manager, Brent Hawkins. Brent grew up with John and absolutely loves the Fall River Valley. Brent has a passion for craft beer and is well known for his exceptional customer service. Brent also has an outstanding résumé that includes a decade of working in the service industry. Also in 2013, Brewmaster Clay Brackley joined the team at Fall River Brewing Company. Healdsburg Beer Company
17700 Boonville Rd, Healdsburg, CA
Healdsburg Beer Company was literally started in a residential garage at a time when that kind of thing wasn’t happening. Upon learning that the common wisdom in homebrewing circles was that it wasn’t possible to license and bond a super-small scale brewery HBC’s founder, Kevin McGee, took it as something of a dare. Putting his law degree to good use, Kevin legally licensed and bonded his garage as The Healdsburg Beer Company and unknowingly became one of the first of what would later be called “nano-breweries.”
With the assistance of Gordie, celebrity canine assistant brewer, his daughter as a moral compass and the patience, design skills and razor-sharp palate of Wonderspouse, Kevin proceeded to turn out small batches of craft beer with excessive attention to detail and focus on balance and drinkability.
Mad River Brewing Company
101 Taylor Way , Blue Lake, CA
In the late seventies Brew Master Bob Smith, founder of the HOMEBREWERS Guild, dreamed of opening a small brewery specializing in craft beers. Excursions to buy brewing supplies led Bob to Ken Grossman's Homebrew Shop in Chico, California. After Ken shared his plans to build Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. in Chico, Bob became determined to build a craft brewery in Humboldt County.
In 1989 construction began on what we know as Mad River Brewing Co. nestled in Humboldt County adjacent to the Mad River in Blue Lake, CA. During this start up year the locals enjoyed a good number of amazing brews as Bob and his small crew experimented and created the awesomeness we drink today.
Production and sales continued to grow and in December, 1990 the first weekly deliveries of Mad River Steelhead draft reached the local taverns. Within the next two months Mad River had purchased Sierra Nevada's bottling line they had outgrown and Steelhead Extra Pale Ale was bottled and distributed throughout Humboldt County.
Demand for this great quality beer grew through the early 90's. Now Mad River Brewing was sharing the great taste of Steelhead with those outside of Humboldt Co. Through the next decade Brew Master Bob Smith handed over the breweries management responsibilities and focused on what he truly loved; creating high quality handcrafted beer. His recipes are still brewed today right here in Humboldt County using some of the cleanest, freshest tasting water in the world. With our current Brew Master, Dylan Schatz, at the helm of our brew house we continue this hands-on traditional brewing method.

Our award winning ales have become renowned for their unique flavor profile and consistent quality. Steelhead Extra Pale Ale and John Barleycorn Barleywine have received gold medals at The Great American Beer Festival, the most prominent award in our industry. Mad River is perhaps best known for our Steelhead Brand Ales, including our flagship Extra Pale and our Extra Stout, a Scotch Porter and Double IPA. We also produce the popular Jamaica Brand, originally produced for the legendary Reggae on the River festival in Northern California. Our annual fall seasonal release of John Barleycorn Barleywine is very limited, eagerly anticipated and quick to sell out. In 2009 we added the Artisan Reserve Series which includes Serious Madness Black Ale, Double Dread Imperial Red Ale, and Humboldt Haze Imperial Wheat IPA. All equally received by our customers.
The brewery has always been about the beer and the hard working people that show up for work every day to produce the best handcrafted ales to share with family, friends and the rest of the world! Their dedication to Mad River's Mission statement, "to produce the highest quality craft beer possible" has brought us to our third decade of production. There have been many changes in the last two decades, but one thing that never changes is the quality of the beer that this little plant on Taylor Way brews every day.
To all of our friends: As long as we are able, We lift our glasses from the Mad River table. Cheers!
Calistoga Inn
1250 Lincoln Avenue, Calistoga, CA
In 1987, the Calistoga Inn gave birth to Calistoga beer and the Napa Valley Brewing Company. The Inn was the first establishment to brew beer commercially in Napa County since the days of prohibition. It brews four principle beers: Calistoga Wheat Ale, Pilsner, Red Ale & Porter. In addition, other seasonal beers are brewed throughout the year, such as the German Kölsch, Blitzen I.P.A., Belgian Pale Ale & Dugan Oatmeal Stout.
100% percent of the brewery's production is served at the Calistoga Inn. We also sell 22 ounce bottles, which are all hand filled. We have a 7-barrel gas fired brewhouse that was originally designed by Dr. Michael Lewis of UC Davis. Our current total annual production is about 450 barrels. After long hours of wine tasting, there's nothing like a cold beer on the patio of the Calistoga Inn.
Over the years we have won numerous awards for our beer, including both bronze and gold finishes at the Great American Beer Fest in Denver, Colorado, and blue ribbons at the California State Fair.
The Calistoga Inn has two bars where guests can taste the different beers. Visit our new air-conditioned Pub & our Patio Bar.
Brewery tours are available Monday - Friday with our brewmaster, Brad Smisloff. Please call in advance for an appointment: 707-942-4101
Humboldt Regeneration Brewery And Farm
2320 Central Ave, Ste F, , McKinleyville, CA
Mission:
Is to raise awareness about the importance of re-localization and build a healthy community. We aim to serve as a small Humboldt County business directly supporting our local food-economy. By growing our own ingredients, distributing directly to community members, and having an educational focus pertaining to craft brewing and sustainable agricultural practices we hope to help build a more resilient community.
About:
Humboldt Regeneration is a Sustainable Farmhouse Brewery which means we are growing our own grains and hops. The barley and wheat are floor-malted on site and we offer a Community Supported Brewery program (CSB). The CSB program is a growler exchange that is similar to a weekly food box from a CSA farm. Our artisan crafted non-traditional Belgian style brews are created by our owner/brewmaster Jacob Pressey. Jacob earned a BS degree in Environmental Science from Humboldt State University focusing on Soils and Alternative Agriculture, and he has been farming beer since 2010. He was also an assistant brewer for the Eel River Brewing Company for eight years.
Throughout the year Jacob teaches a Beer Brewing 101 Workshop for Humboldt State University. If you are interested in taking a beer brewing course, registration is available twice per semester through HSU Center Activities.

Russian River Brewing Company
725 4th St, Santa Rosa, CA
About Us:
Russian River Brewing Company (RRBC) was originally owned by Korbel Champagne Cellars in Guerneville, California and was founded on their historic and beautiful property amidst vineyards and redwoods near the Russian River. When Korbel decided to get out of the beer business in 2003, they generously offered the brewmaster, Vinnie Cilurzo and his wife Natalie the rights to the brand. Russian River Brewing might be something completely different now if it weren't for this incredible opportunity.
In the early days on the Korbel property, Vinnie not only brewed the beer, but made the sales calls and deliveries as well. Eventually they hired a sales/delivery guy to help with all of that so he could focus on brewing! Korbel planted a small hop field where Vinnie received a "field" education on growing and brewing with "wet" hops. It was from those amazingly fresh hops, grown just a few yards away, that he made his first wet hops brew, "Hop-Time Harvest Ale".
While the brewery was still operating at Korbel, the owner of the winery bought Lake Sonoma Winery at the top of Dry Creek in Healdsburg, California. There, they let Vinnie build a second brewery (adjacent to the winery) with its own tasting room and a million dollar view. The brewery at Lake Sonoma was only open for about a year, but Vinnie gained invaluable experience building a brewery from the ground up, and it was there that he started experimenting with beer in wine barrels.
On April 3, 2004, Vinnie and Natalie reopened RRBC as a brewpub in downtown Santa Rosa to great success and began self-distributing to nearby clients. In 2008, they opened a production brewery about 1 mile from their brewpub allowing them to triple production, take on more accounts locally, and distribute some beer in 4 more states.
As of 2012, RRBC employs over 60 part-time and full-time employees, and gives back to their community via charitable events such as their month-long Breast Cancer Fundraiser in October. The pub has become a community gathering place as well as a beer tourism destination. They also support local bands by hosting free live shows at the pub every weekend.
As it turns out, demand is still greater than the supply, but they prefer to grow their business organically while focusing on efficiencies and quality. For now, it is easier to make better beer than it is to make more beer!
The history of Russian River Brewing Company would be incomplete without a little background on the people who own it, operate it, and are passionate about their brewery and craft beer in general!

Napa Smith Brewery
101 Yolano Drive, Vallejo, CA
Located in California’s Bay Area, we first opened our doors in 2008. Since then, we have moved locations, opened a second taproom, and had a genetic physicist (no joke) take over as our master brewer (which was a genius move). It’s been a great ride making great beer. Here is our story.
2008 - Located in Napa, we (Napa Smith Brewery), opened our doors under modern craft beer’s first Brewmaster, Don Barkley (aka the grandfather of Craft Beer). The Brewery was named for the original owner (#funfact).
2013 - Napa Smith Brewery was purchased by Nashville based, RS Lipman Brewing Company. Our parent company (Lipman Brothers) has long been associated with the wine business since 1939. Over these many years, RS Lipman has forged close relationships with our friends in the Northern California wine industry. It was thanks to being part of this tight-knit community that RS Lipman became aware of one of Napa’s best kept secrets (Beer From Here).
2017 – We expanded production and moved the brewery to Vallejo. Happy to say this was another genius move (in our minds at least), because it gave us the opportunity to expand production, and embrace more of the bay area. Our new facility made it possible to embrace our artistic craftmanship (aka make more great beers) and engage with not only the Napa community, but also the historic community of Vallejo (#winning). Fortunately, our new location had enough room to add fun games (shuffleboard, pinball, darts, you name it) to play while having a pint (muy importante).
2018 - We opened a second taproom at Vista Collina in Napa Valley. Founded on the sentiment, “It takes a lot of great beer, to make great wine”, we continue to embrace and support the wine community in Napa and neighboring counties. The tradition of creating great beer while being surrounded by some of the greatest wineries in the world is in Napa Smith’s DNA. This encourages us to use the best ingredients and techniques, polished over generations, to make craft beer of uncompromised quality. Also, there is a grassy courtyard with corn hole (apparently, we are into games) and picnic tables to enjoy California’s (mostly) beautiful weather, wine and (of course) our beer.
Today – Under the careful watch of Brewmaster, Stein Servick, (the genetic physicist we told you about), we brew some of the most interesting craft beers with a passion for consistent high-quality product (mic drop). Thanks to Stein (who has beer in his blood or more accurately in his name), we continuously improve best practices, leading to some new brews and alternative recipes. This team has helped create the beautifully artistic expressions of beer that we enjoy today at Napa Smith (aka delicious beer).
Truly a California original, we are proud to be part of the bay area and the wine-making community. We want the iconic palm trees that tower over our brewery in Vallejo to act as an invitation to enjoy a pint (or three).

Fort Point Beer Company
644 Old Mason Street, San Francisco, CA
Fort Point Beer Company is a New American brewery - the product of a thriving American craft beer culture, shaped by deeply San Franciscan values: quality craftsmanship and a spirit of innovation. We create balanced, thoughtful beers that reference traditional styles but are by no means bound to them. For us, brewing is the confluence of creative expression and refined technique. We want our beers to tell a story, inspire an idea, and be thoroughly enjoyable.
Fort Point Beer Company was founded in 2014 by brothers Tyler and Justin Catalana in the Presidio of San Francisco. The brewery resides in an historic Presidio building that was formerly used as an Army motor pool. Being situated in this iconic landscape reinforces our pride in San Francisco and in the beer we brew. Head Brewer Mike Schnebeck has developed a deft and impassioned brewing style over the past years at Mill Valley Beerworks and leads the pioneering spirit of our beers.
Triple Rock Brewery and Alehouse
1920 Shattuck Avenue, Berkeley, CA
GoatHouse Brewing Company
600 Wise Road, Lincoln, CA
Our vision was to create an environment where our family can live a life full of simple pleasures, while offering items that reflect our commitment to quality. Making handcrafted beer from locally-sourced ingredients has been a passion for years. So, we decided to chase the dream and GoatHouse Brewing Co was born.
Embracing the farm-to-glass experience, we converted our big red barn into the brewery and tasting room. Reusing and repurposing original materials, and working with local artists and suppliers has been an integral part of our business. The old barn's redwood siding became the interior finished walls, and the wood from the horse stalls turned out to be an unexpected treasure. The wooden planks had been salvaged from the old Kezar stadium in San Francisco, so we gave the stadium seating a place of honor when we built the Tasting Bar, tables, and shelving. Enjoy watching the transformation of our barn to the brewery in the time lapse video below.
By growing hops onsite and picking fruit from our orchard at the peak of freshness, we can further showcase the distinct flavor profiles of our beer. Partnering with a local beekeeper, we are helping the bee colonies thrive, and honey harvested on our farm is used as a key ingredient. Hop honey anyone?!
