73rd  Annual Tempe Independence Day Celebration, presented by the Kiwanis Club of Tempe.

The mission of the July 4th celebration is to raise funds to support local children and youth organizations; keeping with the Club’s purpose of “improving the world one child and one community at a time.” All net proceeds from the festival are used to support valley youth via an array of service projects managed by the Kiwanis Club of Tempe (KCOT). Founded in 1952, the mission of KCOT is to support the six objects of Kiwanis International and provide opportunities for club members to give community service or funding to those in need, with a focus on young children. This particular club is the fourth oldest in Maricopa County and the tenth oldest in the state.
