The Fourth of July is the most American of holidays. Yes, it honors the signing of the Declaration of Independence. But it’s also about eating hot dogs, drinking beer, and watching some sweet fireworks displays. Check out these events for the perfect Fourth of July in Arizona!
Flagstaff 4th of July Parade, Flagstaff, AZ
Head north for some cool weather and a parade you won’t soon forget. The Annual Greater Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce Fourth of July Parade will be the morning of July 4. The parade takes a tour of Historic Downtown Flagstaff and features floats, music, and local organizations. This parade is as festive as it gets, so prepare to dress up in your finest patriotic attire. The parade is presented by Pepsi and the local Twin Arros Casino Resort.

Tempe Town Lake Festival, Tempe, AZ
Tempe Town Lake is the site of the Valley’s most popular, and impressive, Fourth of July fireworks shows. The Annual Fireworks Spectacular, hosted by Kiwanis Club of Tempe, will be launched over Tempe Town Lake for a dazzling display over water. The festival includes live music, a family fun tent, and a special VIP Garden with dinner and drink tickets. Gates open at 4 p.m.

Fabulous Phoenix Fourth, Phoenix, AZ
Phoenix’s largest Fourth of July celebration is Fabulous Phoenix Fourth. This event regularly attracts around 100,000 guests for their downtown fireworks display. This year’s event will fun from 6-10 p.m. at Steele Indian School Park. The non-alcoholic family event will include live music, local entertainers, and food and beverage vendors. It will also include youth activities and a water spray zone where the kids can cool off from the desert heat.

Hometown 4th of July Celebration, Payson, AZ
Escape the heat at the Hometown 4thof July Celebration. This small-town celebration is located in Payson, which is normally around 20 degrees cooler than Phoenix. The celebration starts promptly at 1 p.m. with a patriotic salute to service members, followed by a day filled with family games and activities. There will also be a Concert at 4 p.m. and a Pie Contest at 6 p.m. The day caps off with a fireworks display at 9 p.m.

The “Town Too Tough to Die” is very much alive on the Fourth of July. The famous Western city will be holding their annual Independence Day celebration on historic Allen Street and in the City Park. Visitors can get in the spirit with events going on throughout the historic town, including a spectacular fireworks show going on at dusk at Medigovich Field.

July 4th Spectacular, Chandler, AZ
Chandler hosts its Independence Day celebration with their July 4 Spectacular at Dr. A.J. Chandler Park. The event includes an array of activities for everyone to enjoy. Kids can enjoy the fun with face painting, a coloring zone, a photobooth area, Sesame Street Step & Repeat, and more. The event will also feature music from an acclaimed DJ. The event runs from 7:00-9:30 p.m.
