Are you up for a challenge? Then you might want to consider heading to a corn maze. Arizona has plenty of corn mazes where you can challenge your wits and get lost for an hour (or two.) The following mazes are sprinkled throughout the state in everything from family run farms to terrifying haunted houses. Here are the best corn mazes in Arizona.

Vertuccio Farms, Mesa, AZ

You might not expect to find farmland in Mesa. The Valley is a densely-populated area and about the furthest thing from a rural farming area. That’s what makes Vertuccio Farms so special. It’s a 40-acre swath of farmland complete with vineyards and a farmers market. Every fall, Vertuccio Farms comes alive with their fall festival. This family-friendly festival runs from October until November and includes a giant seven-acre corn maze. The challenging maze can trap even the savviest of visitors. Try the mini hay maze for a more relaxed adventure with the kids.

Tolmachoff Farms, Glendale, AZ

Tolmachoff Farms is about as local as you can get. It’s been a family run farm in Glendale for four generations. The farm is known for its produce in addition to hosting special events and activities throughout the year. Tolmachoff may close every summer, but it reopens in style every fall with a pumpkin patch and three corn mazes. The six-acre family corn maze incorporates a new theme every year while the mini corn maze is perfect for families with small children. Feeling brave? Try the haunted corn maze that features a slew of frightening features every year.

Schnepf Farms, Queen Creek, AZ

Schnepf Farms is an East Valley farm and local favorite. Why are they so beloved? For one, they’re the largest organic peach grower in Arizona. But more importantly, they have some pretty amazing corn mazes. Schnepf Farms comes alive every fall with their annual Pumpkin & Chili Party. It’s a celebration filled with fall festival favorites—from pumpkin patches to chili dinners and pig races. Schnepf Farms has two corn mazes each with their own challenging courses. You can try your hand at the four-acre corn maze or the more intense 10-acre “celebrity” corn maze.

Mortimer Farms, Dewey, AZ

Looking to escape the heat? Then head to Mortimer Farms located in Dewey. Situated only a short one-hour drive from Phoenix, Mortimer offers a reprieve from both the heat and city life. The Mortimer Family Farms Pumpkin Festival runs every October and features everything from pumpkin launching to pony rides. The highlight, however, is the 15-acre pumpkin patch and 15-acre corn maze. It’s a labyrinth with difficult turns and hidden getaways.

Rocker 7 Farm Patch, Buckeye, AZ

Residents in the West Valley can get their corn maze fix by attending the Rocker 7 Farm Patch. Located in Buckeye, this family farm offers a range of activities throughout the year, including field trips and agricultural education. The highlight, however, is their fall festival in October. They play host to an annual fall festival complete with pumpkin patches, train rides, and even laser tag. Willis Farm also has two mazes—the agrifact maze and the big corn maze. Every Saturday, the big maze transforms into a terrifying spectacle known as “The Haunted Maze of Chaos.” It’s a thrill ride through the expansive maze filled with frightening surprises.

Apple Annie’s Orchard, Willcox, AZ

There’s no denying that Apple Annie’s Orchard serves up some delicious apple pie. But that’s only half the fun. They’re also the purveyor of the largest corn maze in the state of Arizona. The corn maze is a main event during Apple Annie’s annual Fall Pumpkin Celebration. They also sprinkle in various corn maze activities throughout the year, including “find the wine”—a corn maze adventure with wine tasting stations hidden in the corn.

Marana Pumpkin Patch & Farm Festival, Marana, AZ

The festival includes fall festival staples like petting zoos, a pumpkin patch, and endless food options. They also have two carefully crafted corn mazes. You can choose between the Post Farms Corn Maze and the equally difficult Great Pumpkin Corn Maze on a trip to Marana. They’re free with festival admission and fit for all ages.
