It’s a celebration filled with fall festival favorites—from pumpkin patches to chili dinners and pig races. Schnepf Farms has two corn mazes each with their own challenging courses. Mortimer Farms, Dewey, AZ

Looking to escape the heat? Then head to Mortimer Farms located in Dewey. Situated only a short one-hour drive from Phoenix, Mortimer offers a reprieve from both the heat and city life. The Mortimer Family Farms Pumpkin Festival runs every October and features everything from pumpkin launching to pony rides. The highlight, however, is the 15-acre pumpkin patch and 15-acre corn maze. It’s a labyrinth with difficult turns and hidden getaways.

Residents in the West Valley can get their corn maze fix by attending the Rocker 7 Farm Patch. Located in Buckeye, this family farm offers a range of activities throughout the year, including field trips and agricultural education. The highlight, however, is their fall festival in October. You might expect a town called Snowflake to be known for its winter. But Snowflake is known more for its falls thanks to the efforts of Willis Farm. They play host to an annual fall festival complete with pumpkin patches, train rides, and even laser tag. Willis Farm also has two mazes—the agrifact maze and the big corn maze. Every Saturday, the big maze transforms into a terrifying spectacle known as “The Haunted Maze of Chaos.” It’s a thrill ride through the expansive maze filled with frightening surprises.

Apple Annie’s Orchard, Willcox, AZ

There’s no denying that Apple Annie’s Orchard serves up some delicious apple pie. But that’s only half the fun. They’re also the purveyor of the largest corn maze in the state of Arizona. It’s a 20-acre corn maze with two levels of difficulty. You can easily get lost during a winding adventure through the maze. The corn maze is a main event during Apple Annie’s annual Fall Pumpkin Celebration. They also sprinkle in various corn maze activities throughout the year, including “find the wine”—a corn maze adventure with wine-tasting stations hidden in the corn.

Fear Farm, Glendale, AZ

Proceed with caution at Fear Farm. This Phoenix farm is located on the edge of Phoenix and is the largest outdoor haunted attraction in the Valley. It’s home to 30 acres of terrifying activities including five haunted attractions. Chief among them is the 10-acre corn maze, which plays host to a haunted hayride. Join if you dare.
