Ray French Orchard
921 Harvest Lane Pr NE, Richland, WA
History
We are the Ray French family. Ray French Sr. built his dreams around this orchard in 1960. He started out with 160 acres of land covered in sagebrush, that later developed into Bing Cherries and Red Haven Peaches. Later in 1971 he also planted apples. Before the idea of u-picking came about, all of the fruit in the orchard was sold commercially. In the years that followed the French's opened up a fruit stand with already picked fruit and it wasn't until the late 80's that the orchard was opened up for u-pick.
Ray French Orchard was primarily run by Ray French Sr., Miriam French and their three boys, Robin, Ray and Tom. In 1992, Robin French began managing the orchard for his father. Since then, Robin has added many different varieties of fruit, including Donut peaches (which were originally ordered by mistake) and the juicy white peaches.
Ray French Sr. passed away in July 2009, at the age of 90. Robin Hopes to continue on with his fathers dream.

Prey's Fruit Barn and Orchards
11007 Hwy 2, Peshastin, WA
About Us
In 1975, Antje and Rudolf Prey, Sr. immigrated to the U.S. with three of their four children. Previously, Rudolf (Rudy) had visited the Wenatchee Valley with his brother-in-law, who was considering buying land here. Rudy fell in love with it. He told his family, "This is where I want to live." They returned home to Germany where they soon after sold their farm. Rudy returned in order to buy the land they now own, and was able to harvest the existing crop that fall. His wife and children joined him in September.
Prey's Fruitbarn opened it's doors in 1979, with a few bins of apples and pears from the family orchard. Once they opened, they began to realize the demand for high quality, tree-fresh fruit, and the fruitstand began to grow. Today, some thirty years later, Prey's Fruitbarn is one of the largest, finest fruitstands in Washington. You'll find picnic area, restrooms, a huge parking lot, and a 100 ft. flag pole that proudly bears a 30 x 50 foot American flag.
In 1996, Rudolf and Antje turned over the 130 acre orchard and fruitstand to their son, Rudy, Jr. They continue to work at the fruitstand assisting new and returning customers.
