San Antonio Black International Film Festival
The San Antonio Black International Film Festival welcomes all filmmakers, movie enthusiasts, industry professionals, and audiences world-wide to join us for SABIFF 2021. In our 3rd year, we shine our spotlight on 'phenomenal women' Creatives, both in front of, and behind the camera. Our theme, Sistahrz In Cinema (Sista Stars), will present female perspective programming, stories, and panel discussions that are both impactful and invigorating.
The mission of SABIFF is to showcase quality films, advocate for, and support filmmakers of African Descent, and expose audiences to the myriad of subject matters, stories, voices and diverse images of Black people throughout the global Diaspora that have been historically underrepresented.
SABIFF, based in the 7th largest city in the United States, now has a distinctive film festival that proudly celebrates and affirms that Black life matters in cinema and beyond. In the midst of a pandemic, you have the luxury to be a supportive audience aficionado in the safety and comfort of your very own home on the world-wide-web. SABIFF 2021 is excited to beam you in to view diverse Black narratives, and documentary experiences that capture universal emotions, present meaningful characters, stimulate reel-real dialogue, and impactful subject matter.
Be sure to spread the word, and get the wii-fi cranked up for the Fall as we also connect you to cultural sites to visit in the Alamo City (when 'life returns to 'normal'). Follow us on social media throughout the year for virtual and live events.
