Chill… The Milkshake Bar, Spring, TX

Chill is, as the name suggests, a milkshake bar specializing in creating enormous, delicious milkshakes. You can build your own milkshake or choose from more than 25 flavors. Wash that milkshake down with a grilled cheese to go.

Twisted Root Burger Co., Multiple locations

Twisted Root is a well-known commodity in the hallowed halls of Texas burgerdom, with 16 locations throughout the state and counting. Their burgers are certainly tasty, but their homemade custard shakes are the unsung hero of the business. We can’t get enough of their Oreo and amaretto (for adults only) and toasted marshmallow.

Hop Doddy Burger Bar, Multiple locations

Hop Doddy has taken Texas and neighboring states by storm, with 16 locations in the Lone Star State alone. They’ve got six unbelievably good milkshakes. Their Vanilla Birthday Cake, made with Funfetti batter and rainbow sprinkles, is our favorite.

24 Diner, Austin, TX

24 Diner serves “chef-inspired comfort food” made with fresh, local ingredients. Like any diner worth its salt, their made-to-order milkshakes are simply divine. Choose from nine flavors, but you’d be remiss to miss out on roasted banana and brown sugar.

Another Time Soda Fountain, Rosenberg, TX

Since 2003, Another Time Soda Fountain has transported visitors back to yesteryear. They’ve got old fashioned shakes, specialty shakes, ice cream sodas, and coke shakes, which turns any fountain drink into a shake.

Beck’s Prime, Multiple locations

Beck’s Prime has a number of locations scattered all throughout Texas, making finding one of their shakes easy. Their shakes and malts options come in dessert portion sizes. Choose from four options, all of which are quite tasty.

Peached Social House, Austin, TX

Peached Social House is “a multi-functional event space” in Austin that occasionally has stunning milkshakes. You’ll have to keep an eye out for them, because they’re not available all the time, but these “towering milkshakes piled high with brightly colored desserts like cotton candy, lollipops, and doughnuts” are well worth the wait.

Suck It: The Restaurant, San Antonio, TX

Suck It: The Restaurant offers fantastic Asian fusion food with a “don’t care” attitude. If the ‘tude don’t bother you, then you’re sure to love their sweet “smoothies.” Choose from options like toffee coffee, white chocolate strawberry, and red velvet.
