tx university texas late night food

University of Texas students are lucky to live in a city that hardly sleeps. No matter what time the munchies hit you, you’re always within close proximity to any number of delicious food options. Below are 9 of our favorite late-night spots.

24 Diner, Austin, TX

The 24 Diner never closes, making it a perfect late-night go-to food spot near the University of Texas. The diner works hard to avoid the greasy spoon stereotypes, instead choosing local and organic fare.

El Taquito, Austin, TX

Open until 2 a.m., El Taquito provides Austin, Texas, with some of the best Mexican food around. The menu is extensive. You’ll find all of your favorite Mexican dishes, plus specialty plates and breakfast options.

Magnolia Café, Austin, TX

Magnolia Café, with two Austin, Texas locations, is another 24/7 operation. Order breakfast anytime, tacos, a la carte items, and much more. The menu is large enough that almost everyone will find something to enjoy, no matter what time you stop in.

Easy Tiger, Austin, TX

Easy Tiger is an interesting combination of bakery and beer garden in Austin, Texas. Both sides of the business close at 2 a.m. nightly. The bake shop offers breads, pretzels, sausages, corned beef, and more, while the beer garden provides cheeses, craft beers, wines, and spirits.

Casino El Camino, Austin, TX

The Casino El Camino in Austin, Texas, is your straight-up, old-school neighborhood bar. Come in often enough, and everyone will learn your name. The food is tasty, the jukebox full of tunes, and the price is right for late night snacking.

East Side King, Austin, TX

East Side King is the name of two hip food trucks serving up delicious, hot Japanese street food. You can even order online to skip the line at the South Lamar location. But for late-night diners, you’ll want to find the Liberty location—it’s open until 1:45 a.m.

Justine’s, Austin, TX

Let us warn you up front: Justine’s food is delicious and they’re open late, but their official website is a little not safe for work. Guests will enjoy some finer French dining at this top-notch establishment until 2 a.m.

Craving: Tuna Tartare, with herbs from the garden. 🌸🌱 Shot by @oanhlife, merci, chérie!
