Greek Food Festival of Dallas
Welcome to the 69th Annual Greek Food Festival of Dallas! We are excited to welcome everyone to this year’s Festival. A major thank you to All of You - our greater Dallas/Fort Worth community. Your support of Greek Culture and our Orthodox faith has allowed this little event - which started out as a ladies’ bazaar in 1955 - to reach its 69th year - Thank You – or as we say in Greek Efharisto.
If it is your first time here or your 69th, don’t miss a thing! Come be inspired by our iconography in our church sanctuary. Learn more about our religious traditions by attending a lecture on Byzantine chanting and with a church tour. Visit our newly expanded religious bookstore in our main shopping center, the Agora. Visit our cultural center and learn about the history of Greece!
Enjoy the culinary delights that Greece is famous for! We are bringing back all your favorites this year - Gyro, Loukoumades, Feta Bites, Souvlaki, Greek Fries, and we are reintroducing Pastichio (Greek lasagna) to the menu. Come thirsty and visit our Taverna to drink Greek wine or try a Greek beer then get a Greek coffee or Frappe so you can keep going! You can’t miss the Agora to shop like you do when you walk the streets in our beloved Greece. There we have an authentic Greek Grocery and so many imports, Jewelry, gifts and treats to browse and buy. Don’t forget to attend one of the cooking demos to learn how our favorite cuisine is made-just like Yiayia (grandma). Finally, your visit is not complete without trying the Greek pastries in the courtyard or packaged for home. But do me one favor when you buy pastries inside and say a special Thank You to the ladies selling you those treats-they are the women of Philoptochos – the legacy of the same women’s charitable organization whose lady’s bazaar has grown into our beautiful festival!
