Discovery Green

Discovery Green is a 12 acre park located in the heart of Downtown Houston that opened in April 2008. Our mission is to operate an urban park that serves as a village green, a source of health and happiness for our citizens, and a window into the diverse talents and traditions that enrich life in Houston.

Discovery Green features an interactive fountain, lawns, one acre lake, cooling mist tree, lush gardens, playgrounds, two restaurants, dog runs and more shaded by century old live oaks. A very active programming schedule features more than 400 events each year from exercise to movies, concerts to special events. Discovery Green is LEED-certified at the Gold Level. See. Touch. Hear.
