Cameron - J. Jarvis Troup Municipal Library
About Us
Established in 1992, the Cameron-J. Jarvis Troup Municipal Library is a vital community center for Troup and the surrounding area. Throughout its short history, the Library has continuously increased its collections and services to meet increasing public demands for information, education, and entertainment. The automated circulation and cataloguing system and the network of computers offering public access to the Internet and the World Wide Web also contribute to its ranking as an outstanding library for a community the size of Troup.
The Library is a Department of the City of Troup and is managed by an ten-member Library Board, which meets once every other month. The Library is operated by a Director and community volunteers.
A large community room that is used by many local groups (including Meals on Wheels, the Troup Rotary Club, the Troup Women's Civic Organization and the Troup Community Development Corporation) is also available to rent to the public.
