8 Best Trivia Nights in Rhode Island

ri trivia nights

Let’s put those little tidbits of knowledge to the test. Trivia nights across Rhode Island provide a great opportunity to test your smarts accompanied by good company and your favorite drink. From burger bars in Providence to pubs in Bristol, here are the best trivia nights in the state.

Ogie's Trailer Park, Providence, RI

Ogies Trailer Park is actually a restaurant and bar decked out in “kitschy trailer park–inspired decor,” and the place is home to one of the best trivia nights in town. Number one, nothing goes better with trivia night than American bar food classics, and, number two, trivia night is always on a Tuesday, so it is easy to remember.

Aidan's Pub, Bristol, RI

We are not sure if trivia night is an Irish thing or not, but who doesn’t love an Irish pub that serves traditional Irish food and spirits, like homemade corned beef and cabbage and an assortment of homeland whiskey. Plus, you’ll find other pub favorites like hand-cut fries, burgers, steaks, fish n chips, and Trivia Night Tuesdays.

Chelo's Hometown Bar & Grille, Multiple locations

Founded in 1955, this family-owned RI restaurant chain has eight locations around the Ocean State, and each one offers classic hometown American fare as well as a weekly trivia night. In some locations that night is on a Monday, but, it usually falls on a Tuesday or a Thursday. Either way, the burgers will be hot and juicy, and the draught beer will be cold and frothy.

The Fastnet Pub, Newport, RI

The Fastnet Pub doesn’t promise to be anything special, just your straightforward waterhole with wide-screen TVs, ping-pong, foosball, darts, and live music and entertainment. At this traditional Irish bar, the only games you will catch on TV, though, are sailing competitions, rugby, and football (soccer to us Americans). Plus, every Wednesday night is trivia night, and there are plenty of old-world and domestic brews to try.

Picasso's Pizza and Pub, Warwick, RI

At Picasso’s is it all about the pizza. Or is it? With Mexican Mondays and Wing Tuesdays, it is kind of hard to tell. One thing is for sure, there is always something happening at Picasso’s, and from table-side tv’s to Thursday Night Trivia 8pm, the list of events goes on and on. Plus, check out Saturdays Night Music Trivia 8pm, Karaoke, Rock and Roll Bingo, and more.

Ladder 133 Sports Bar & Grill, Providence, RI

This 1902 converted fire station might well be one of the most rocking places in all of Providence. With multiple high-def plasma TV’s and a spacious 4,000-square-foot interior, you can bet that the game is always on, and there are always live events to experience. From live DJs to trivia nights, dancing, and karaoke, Ladder 133 definitely knows how to party.

The Brazen Hen, Westerly, RI

Yet another Irish bar that loves trivia, the Brazen Hen is an old-world pub that offers regional seafood dishes as well as traditional Irish staples. The spot also features an outdoor patio with seating and tons of live events and entertainment. In fact, Thursday nights are trivia nights and teams or singles can participate with awards given for first, second, and third place.

Providence Coal Fired Pizza, North Kingstown, RI

What could be better than a coal-fired slice of pie, a cold beer, and trivia? That’s what you’ll find at Providence Coal Fired Pizza. Be sure to keep up with their Facebook pages for information about trivia nights!
