Tagging begins each year on Columbus Day weekend for cut your own, although there are also cut trees. Plus, check out the on-site shop with one of the largest selections of ornaments and rosemary trees in the area.
Pachet Brook Tree Farm, Tiverton, RI
Operated by the same family for over 100 years, Pachet is a "Blue Ribbon" Christmas tree farm. A cut-your-own operation, you can choose from Balsam fir, blue spruce, Douglas fir, Fraser fir, white pine, and white spruce. Also, find pumpkins, gourds, and Halloween Hayrides throughout the year, as well as arborvitae, a popular landscape evergreen.
Butterfly Farm, Lincoln, RI
Butterfly Farm in Lincoln produces Christmas trees, flowers, and vegetables and is home to Texel sheep, Hereford cattle, and much more. For Christmas trees, guests will mostly find Douglas fir and some Fraser fir.
Big John Leyden’s Tree Farm, Greenwich, RI
With over 100,000 trees and 10 different varieties, Big John’s is, well, big. Varieties include Fraser fir, Douglas fir, blue spruce, and white pine, as well as Arborvitae, but Big John’s only offers tree selection on site, so there is no tagging. Their professionally-trained staff will cut the tree you have selected and bring it to the bailer to be wrapped before loading into your car.
