Second Sin Brewing
1500 Grundy Lane, Bristol, PA
In the Beginning
The Second Sin Brewing Company founders - Mike Beresky, Phil Harris, and Jake Howell - have known each other since their days playing middle school football together. Though they remained friends through the intervening years, the process of starting a brewery has fostered within them a bitter hatred for each other.
In 2011, after having brewed less than 10 batches of beer, they decided to follow their foolhardy dream of opening a small brewery, which was originally to be called Gluttony Brewing Company.
The Name
Several years after the plan was concocted, the trio started to put things into motion to finally start the brewery. The first order of business was to trademark the name Gluttony Brewing Company - which failed spectacularly. After a short trademark dispute, the founders decided it would be best to change the name of the company.
Originally, the name was a tongue-in-cheek joke, but it actually became deeply rooted in how they wanted their customers to react to their beers. Gluttony is defined as “habitual greed in eating or drinking” and derives from the Latin gluttire meaning “to gulp down or swallow.” Every once in a while you come across a beer that you click with. From your first sip to your last, every moment with that pint reminds you of just how fantastic beer can be, and when you’re done you can’t wait to have another. Ultimately, the founders decided to find a name that would keep this spirit alive.
After some research into the Seven Deadly Sins, they discovered that they were originally defined by Pope Gregory the Great. Pope Gregory also went as far to order them from least to most offensive to god - with Gluttony coming in second. Thus, Second Sin Brewing Company was born!
The Rest
The next few years were uneventful, but full of hard work. Jake started brewing at Climax Brewing in New Jersey, then migrated to Neshaminy Creek Brewing for 5 years. Our founders revised their business plan and set out to find a place to start Second Sin Brewing. After some unsuccessful attempts to secure other buildings, they serendipitously took over Broken Goblet Brewing’s location when they expanded. We can’t wait to share our new space and beers with you!
Britain Hill Venue and Vineyard
790 Little Britain Road, North, Quarryville, PA
Our Story:
The Helm’s purchased the property in 2017. Being visionaries and entrepreneurs at heart, Ken and Debbie began a family owned and operated winery and special events venue in beautiful Lancaster County.
Ken’s skills as a contractor, in addition to wine making, afforded him the ability to construct a truly custom, beautifully handcrafted bank barn that allows an elegant yet rustic experience that can only be described as simple country elegance. With hard work and appreciation of the outdoors, Ken and Debbie’s vision grew bringing sustainable agriculture and agri-tourism full circle by opening the first winery to the Little Britain area of Quarryville, Pa.
We adhere to the basic principles of winemaking and invite you to come and enjoy a glass yourself. We are proud of our wines and have become not only a winery but a destination offering wine and so much more. Wine enthusiasts come to sample and purchase our wide selection of red, white, blush, and fruit wines and to take in the views and serenity of our unique property.

The Vineyard and Brewery at Hershey
598 Schoolhouse Road, Middletown, PA
Open:Â Year Round
About Us:
In 2008, four friends enjoyed freely-flowing wine and great happy hour conversation at a local piano bar. As the discussion continued, one of the friends, who dabbled in winemaking as a hobby, made a statement as bold as the Merlot being enjoyed that evening- that Pennsylvania is capable of making a world class wine, and that he could handcraft wines that would be among the best in the region. It didn't take long for that statement to be turned into a challenge. The winemaker lived up to his bold statement, and then some. And so the idea was born.
In 2009, The Vineyard at Hershey went from a fun idea at a piano bar amongst friends, to the planting of vines on a 40-acre historical farm with gorgeous views and a scenic natural springs pond. The winery opened in 2012 and became wildly successful and well-received, so much so that customers would say, "if only you had both wine and craft beer, we'd never want to leave!" Well long behold if that didn't spark another idea, leading the four friends to search for a brewmaster to join the family. The search concluded when they met a brewer whose creations knocked their socks off, fully bringing the happy hour-inspired idea from the piano bar to fruition.
CrossWinds Winery
621 Hershey Rd, Hummelstown, PA
It starts out as one you've heard before...we have the usual family farm, that's been the family for generations. Our vineyard in Juniata County is very mature, planted in the early 1990's. We may be a new winery, but our grapes have produced some very fine wines. This is where our story takes a twist. Linda and I are both pilots and we built an airport in the vineyard (Jansen Vineyards, PN71, for you pilots out there). What better way to check on the grapes than flying low over the grapes and landing along side our apple orchard! You'll see this aviation theme carried throughout our name, our labeling, and even the decor of the winery.

Nimble Hill Winery and Brewery
3971 SR 6, Tunkhannock, PA
About
The Winery and Brewery are owned by Gary and Ellie Toczko, who lovingly describe their establishment as a "Family". Tucked away in the beautiful rolling hills of Northeastern Pennsylvania, is a place where the Toczko's, along with their four children, daughter Mya, and triplets, Maggie, Haley, and Jacob call home. Gary and Ellie first opened the Winery & Brewery based on a dream of agriculture. Without knowing what to grow, they reached out to their friends looking for information on what is best and what is possible to grow in the area. After gathering information, they decided that growing grapes would be perfect for their property. From there, like a vine, their dream just kept growing.
Once the vineyard was fully grown, the Toczko’s and their friend, Kevin Durland, started to make wine in the garage of the Toczko’s home. It was there, in that garage, where the dream of just having a vineyard grew into Nimble Hill Winery and Vineyard. Still today, Gary, Ellie, friends, and family talk about the days where they all would come over for “Bottling Parties”. They would form assembly lines to fill, cork, label, package, and stack cases of wine. After doing this for a few years, the Toczko’s then realized that they were starting to outgrow their two car garage and needed a bigger area. So, they decided to build another facility on their property, which is what we call the winery today.
