1.Daily Discovery Experiences, Las Vegas, NV
Daily Discovery Experiences in Las Vegas is hosting a New Year celebration throughout the day. Bring your children between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. to create “a collage inspired by hopes for the New Year,” among other activities depending on the age group.

2.Magical Forest, Las Vegas, NV
Opportunity Village, one of Las Vegas’ most prominent charities, is hosting a “Magical Forest” event from the Friday after Thanksgiving all the way up through New Year’s Eve. Bring the entire family to experience a “winter wonderland with millions of sparkling lights.”
3.New Year’s Eve Celebration at the Green Valley Public Library, Henderson, NV
Held on Dec. 30, children ages 3-11 are welcome to celebrate the New Year with crafts, stories, and sparkling cider. This is the perfect event for younger kids who want to get into the holiday spirit without going overboard. Many other libraries around the state have similar events.

4.Crystal Palace Boulder, Las Vegas, NV
Bring the entire family for a fun-filled night of roller skating as you count down the minutes to the New Year. Crystal Palace Boulder’s event starts at 7 p.m. and lasts until 1 a.m. and includes free hats, horns, and glow product to the first 100 skaters.
5.Heavenly Village for Heavenly Holidays, Stateline, NV
Heavenly Village goes all-out for the holidays, bringing in ice sculptors, fireworks displays, and live music to cap off a two-week holiday festival. Kids will particularly enjoy the 16-foot interactive snow globe used for Santa pictures.
6.New Year’s 5K Run/Walk, Churchill County, NV
OK, so we’re cheating a little bit on this one, but if you’re in need of a fantastic way to spend the first day of the New Year, then you won’t do better than this family friendly 5K Run/Walk. The entry fee is $15 per person or $50 for a family of four and includes t-shirts. Breakfast is served after.
7.New Year’s Ski Party and Fireworks at Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe, Reno, NV
New Year’s Eve falls on a Sunday this year, so why not spend a weekend away at the Mt. Rose Ski resort? While you’re there, make sure to stop by their annual New Year’s Ski Party and Fireworks show.
