Van Till Family Farm Winery
13986 Highway C, Rayville, MO
Sharing our Dutch hospitality with you is the heart of our mission..... enter Gezellig!
Gezellig, roughly pronounced heh sell' ick, is a Dutch word, which while it does not have a direct translation into English; refers to the "warm, fuzzy, feeling" of an atmosphere or situation, as opposed to the comfort of physical objects. The terms cozy, contented, comfortable are a start, but, if we take being cozy in a chair, and then imagine sitting in that chair surrounded by close friends, great food and a glass of wine, while soft music plays in the background; you are getting the picture!
At the Van Till Family Farm Winery, we are fostering a gezeligheit atmosphere for you. Every season of the year this will be experienced in a uniquely different way. But, in the end, it is the people that make it happen.
So gather your friends and find Gezellig in the peace and solitude of the country setting of the Van Till Family Farm Winery. Our commitment to great atmosphere, sincere hospitality, and great products will help you put the cares of the world aside, and leave feeling special.
Established in 2009 the Van Till Family Farm Winery is a destination winery in rural Ray County, Missouri, with a vision of building a multi-generational, family owned business, producing a variety of wines from Dry and Bold, to Sweet and Delicate. We have also created unique Wood Fired oven pizzas to pair with our wines and grow and produce many of the ingredients offered on our menu in the greenhouses and fields at the winery. Being farmers by trade we are always growing something to eat, and so developing a "farm to table experience" is just a natural outgrowth of how we have always lived our own lives.
Windy Wine Company
9478 SW State Hwy J, Osborn, MO
Open: Year-round
Windy Wine Company started many years ago. Â Kraig Keesaman was enjoying the art of homebrewing, and Becky Keesaman (wife) was feeling a little wanting. Â She asked Kraig to make a wine for her to enjoy while he was already engrossed, bucket deep, in a Belgium Triple. Â He agreed and made a lovely Burgandy style wine. Â After many compliments and encouragement to make more wines, Kraig delved into an adventure in brewing of another kind: Wine Making
Kraig worked a number of years at a local winery, assisting with vinology, vineyard maintenance, management of the sales floor, and many other aspects. Â Becky also worked assisting on the sales floor.Kraig further continued his advancements while studying at the University of Missouri in their courses for vinology. Â Kraig has also attended other courses offered by wine professionals.
Since the Burgandy wine kit, Kraig and Becky have planted nearly 6 acres of grapevines on their Missouri Century Farm. Â With Vignoles, Delaware, Concord, and Chambourcin to start, they plan on adding more varieties in the future.
Backyard Vine And Wine
30484 Icon Road, Maryville, MO
Backyard is a small, family owned vineyard and winery located in Maryville, Missouri.
It began as a retirement project by our father, Carl Christensen. Starting off as some fun cleaning up the land, or as he calls it, “playing in the dirt.” His love of the outdoors and his green thumb inspired him to dive in further and start this journey that pulled us all together to create this beautiful vineyard and some terrific Missouri wines.
With the help of family and friends, Carl transformed the land from a mess of tangled trees and a growing pile of junk, into a very serene acreage with approximately five acres of grapevines intertwining three ponds. The first vines were planted in 2008 with additional plots added in subsequent years. Currently we have seven varieties totaling around 2600 plants and plan to add another 100 of an eighth variety in 2022.

Martin Brothers Winery
1623 Old Iron Rd, Hermann, MO
Just a few miles southwest of Hermann’s city limits, nestled in the Heart of Missouri’s wine country, you will find Martin Brothers Winery.
Martin Brothers Winery started in May of 2014. It is family owned and operated, located on the family farm in central Missouri outside of Hermann.
Martin Brothers Winery is one of a handful globally specializing in fermenting mead. Mead is wine made from honey.
As a winery focused on the harvest of honey, the wines highlight not just the plants of the region or terroir, but also honey varietals.
A honey varietal is dependent on what the bees are pollinating and gathering nectar from. The honey could be from the blossom pollination of a seasonal crop such as oranges in California, or even from a regional wildflower. Each unique harvest of honey represents the floral character of the blossoms of season, varietal, and place.
So with that, every batch of wine tells a story, and every glass creates a new one. We hope you'll come visit us for a unique experience.
Lake Creek Winery and Vineyards
15088 Boone Monument Rd, Marthasville, MO
A few years ago the Flesch brothers purchased a portion of the Eichmeyer family farm positioned on the river bluffs near Marthasville, Missouri. The property had a circa 1870’s farmhouse and several other structures that were uninhabited for quite some time. Initially the brothers took to the land, clearing and establishing the vineyards on the property. Realizing what still lay ahead of them, they took on additional partners, Don Flesch and Henry Slodkowski, and began the restoration of the buildings. It has taken several years of hard work, but Lake Creek Winery is now a beautiful place with picturesque views, patios, gardens and a fully restored farmhouse. The winery borrows its name from the original region, settled by Germans, called Lake Creek. During these early years the region was recognized for its grape growing attributes offering similar climate and soils to those found in wine growing regions in Germany. Today Lake Creek Winery offers the very best in Missouri wines with attention given to producing wines that stand the test of time and pay homage to the region and the brother’s German heritage.
