Join Park County Open Lands for an evening of short films exploring what it means to leave a legacy in North America’s working wild. We’ll explore the value private lands provide for wildlife, whether it be cutthroat trout or grizzly bears, and meet farmers and ranchers who are thinking carefully about the legacy they will leave. Whether the legacy is simply transitioning the farm or ranch to the next generation, restoring San Juan cutthroat trout to private lands in Colorado, or remaining profitable as a ranch alongside grizzly bears in Montana, the ranchers, farmers, and wildlife biologists in these films contemplate the value of private lands and their future. From Montana, Colorado, Ontario, Nebraska, and Montana, to right here in Park County, these short films tell the stories of everyday conservationists whose landscapes are their livelihoods.
Tickets are FREE, but you must register in advance as we expect to fill up the Cody Theatre.
