Sir Donald Runnicles, conductor
Haydn: Symphony No. 88
Mahler: Symphony No. 5
A night in Vienna, without the waltzes. GTMF Music Director Donald Runnicles conducts legendary works by two of history’s greatest symphonists. Austrian masters Haydn and Mahler are featured on a program that will highlight the range and virtuosity of the Festival Orchestra and remind us that no film can capture the drama of live performance.
Join us for a pre-concert talk at 5 PM with Stoner Family Education Curator Meaghan Heinrich in the Barbara Furrer Goodman Memorial Garden near Walk Festival Hall’s north entrance. Talks are sponsored by the Goodman Family Foundation, in memory of Roy and Barbara Goodman.
Tickets $40/$85; Children & Students $5
