The Collis P. Huntington Chapter, NRHS, is a volunteer organization dating back to 1959. We have a library, meeting room, indoor & outdoor railroad museum, and office. Our office building is located at 1323 – 8th Avenue in Huntington, WV and is usually open Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.while our outdoor museum at 14th Street, West and Memorial Blvd. in Huntington, WV is open from Memorial Day through the end of September from 2-5 p.m. and at other times by appointment 24 hours in advance. Monthly meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month with a variety of programs, sponsors regional railroad shows in Kentucky and West Virginia. We operate the World famous New River Train Excursions (TM), rail excursions to The Greenbrier Resort, New York City, Washington, DC and motorcoach trips to other rail facilities. We own six (6) passenger cars and other railroad passenger cars and other railroad equipment. The Huntington Chapter is a 501 (c) (3) tax exempt organization, founded in 1959. Visitors are always welcome to attend our meetings, library, and activities.
