A five-day mountaintop gathering of musicians and friends with contests, concerts, workshops, square dances, camping and vendors. Old time Appalachian music is presented to an audience of more than 3000 musicians and string band music lovers of all ages. The festival attracts visitors and participants from all around the world including all 50 states and more than 20 foreign countries.

9-10am: Daily Contest Registration (youth – 17 and under) (senior – 60 and over) (open–all ages) - Information Tent
10:30am: Lineup announced to Fiddle Contest Registrants - Information Tent
11am: Youth & Senior Fiddle Contest – Awards to follow each contest - Outdoor Stage

Open Fiddle Contest follows Senior Awards - Outdoor Stage
1pm: Square Dance Fundamentals for Kids ”Family Supervision/Participation Required” - Chestnut Lodge
