8:00 am - 5:00 pm: AMS Guided Tour of the AOSS Building - Free
Guided public rooftop tours of the Atmospheric Oceanic and Space Science Building led by the American Meteorological Society members. Come see all the research we are doing and get up-close and personal with our satellites. Check out the stellar view of Madison’s skyline!

9:00 am - 4:00 pm: DC Smith Greenhouse Open House - Free
Explore plants in the DC Smith Greenhouse on the University of Wisconsin – Madison campus. The greenhouse is open to the public weekdays from 9AM to 4PM!

10:00 am - 4:00 pm: Wisconsin Science Museum - Free
The Wisconsin Science Museum presents displays, demonstrations and programs about science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Many of these have interactive aspects and artistic illustrations. We emphasize Homegrown Discoveries, the notable achievements of people working in Wisconsin or Educated here.

4:30 pm - 7:00 pm: Physics of Bowling - Free
Is there a science to bowling? Ever wondered what inside of a bowling ball looks like? Come explore as we explain Newton’s Law of Motion and apply what we learn on the lanes.
Each participant will get a free game of bowling!

5:45 pm - 6:30 pm: Weaving Tradition: Menominee Basketry and the Legacy of Ash - Free
Join us for an immersive workshop on traditional Menominee basket weaving led by Sherri LaChapelle-Corn (Pitapanukiw), where you’ll learn time-honored techniques passed down through generations. This hands-on experience delves into the cultural significance of basketry, highlighting its role in preserving Menominee heritage. Additionally, gain insight into the ecological challenges posed by the emerald ash borer insect, which threatens the very materials essential to this craft. Discover the importance of sustaining these practices and the efforts to protect and rejuvenate the resources vital to Menominee culture.
Before and after the workshop, stop by the interactive gallery at the Discovery Building featuring intricate woven works of art created by workshop host Sherri LaChapelle-Corn (Pitapanukiw).

This engaging panel discussion will take a deeper look into the innovation and tradition of Wisconsin agriculture and the opportunities and challenges we face at the leading edge of sustainable systems. Moderated by Dr. Glenda Gillaspy, Dean of UW-Madison College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, and featuring researchers who are helping establish Wisconsin as the leader in agricultural advancement and innovation.
