PrideFest Milwaukee
About:
PrideFest Milwaukee is the nation’s largest LGBTQ festival with permanent festival grounds, operated entirely by volunteers since 1987. The festival does not have a single paid employee, simply the dedication and devotion to bring together an exciting community experience each and every year.
PrideFest Milwaukee is produced by Milwaukee Pride, Inc, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, compliant with all State of Wisconsin and IRS rules.
The mission of Milwaukee Pride, Inc. is a) to educate both the general community and the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) communities about needs, issues and various aspects of LGBTQ culture; b) to provide a forum to celebrate the history and accomplishments of LGBTQ people; c) to create an environment for networking and outreach for services and community opportunities for LGBTQ people and their families and friends; and d) any other activities exclusively for charitable, educational, and research purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
