Milwaukee Concert Band presents A Time and Place

The Milwaukee Concert Band, under the direction of Dr. Thomas Gamboa, announces its fall concert performance entitled A Time and Place.

Discover how music can define and evoke historical times and places. Enjoy pieces such as Orff’s Carmina Burana, andSibelius’s Finlandia,and learn how they embodied history. Smile and tap your toes while the band plays two movements from A Suite of Old American Dances, an important work in the creation of American sound and music. Finally, pay tribute to our country, our serving military, and our veterans with patriotic pieces like America the Beautiful, America’s Finest, and the Stars and Stripes Forever.
