Join us for an unforgettable autumn experience at the 7th Annual Fall Downtown Fest and 3rd Annual Casket Races in picturesque downtown Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, on Saturday, October 26th. This thrilling event promises a day filled with spine - tingling excitement, family - friendly fun, and an array of captivating activities that celebrate the spirit of the season.
Schedule:
10am - 3pm - Trick or Treat: Downtown businesses and organizations participate in the much - anticipated Trick - or - Treat extravaganza, turning the heart of the city into a thrilling Halloween wonderland. The downtown streets are transformed into a festive atmosphere with fall - themed decorations and scarecrows, setting the tone for a candy - filled adventure for trick - or - treaters of all ages. Families can enjoy a safe and exciting Halloween experience, strolling through the enchanting streets and visiting a wide array of participating businesses and organizations. From quaint boutiques to cozy cafes and spirited community groups, each stop promises not only delectable treats but also a generous dose of Halloween spirit.
Kids Costume Parade (11am): Get ready for adorable fun at the Kids Costume Parade! Little ones can show off their spookiest, cutest, or most creative costumes as they parade through Front Street. Join us for this family - friendly celebration and watch the streets come alive with festive fall spirit!
1pm -Grand Procession: A bewitching kickoff to the Casket Races, this parade on South Spring Street includes our Beaver Dam witches, Zombies, and Casket Racers!
1:30pm - Casket Races: Thrill - seekers and adrenaline junkies won’t want to miss the heart - pounding casket races on South Spring Street. Watch as teams race their elaborately decorated caskets through the streets, competing for the coveted title of fastest coffin in town.
Witches Dance (10am and Casket Race Intermission): Our enchanting witches will cast a spell on you with their mesmerizing dance performance. It’s a bewitching spectacle that will leave you spellbound.
10am - 2:30pm - Chamber of Mystery: Step into a world of intrigue and wonder in our Chamber of Mystery at the Beaver Dam Chamber of Commerce.
5pm - 11pm - Monster Bar Crawl: For the adults, the Monster Bar Crawl is a ghoulishly good time. Join fellow revelers on a haunted pub tour, sampling creepy cocktails and enjoying spooky atmosphere at local bars.
10am - 3pm - Food Trucks & Downtown Restaurants: Satisfy your taste buds with an array of delicious treats from our curated selection of food trucks and downtown local restaurants and pubs. From fall - inspired fare to classic favorites, there’s something to please every palate.
Witches Stew: Local chefs will whip up their most enchanting concoctions of Witches Stew. A favorite fundraiser by our local Red Line Blue Line Hockey Club, purchase your favorite cauldron creation at Ooga Brewing Co.
9am - 2pm - Vendor Market: Explore a bustling vendor market at the Watermark offering a variety of handmade crafts, unique treasures, and seasonal goodies, perfect for early holiday shopping.
10am - 2:30pm - Costume Contests : Stop in at the Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center to show off your spookiest, funniest, or most creative costume in our costume contests for kids and adults. Prizes await the most impressive ensembles!
Scarecrows on Parade: As you stroll through the charming streets of downtown Beaver Dam during the Fall Downtown Fest, you’ll find the thoroughfares adorned with an enchanting and whimsical display of scarecrows. These delightful scarecrows, each crafted with care and creativity, add a touch of rustic charm to the festivities.
Family - Friendly Fall and Halloween Activities (10am - 3pm): We haven’t forgotten the little goblins! Bring the whole family for pumpkin decorating, art making, pumpkin bowling, and other autumn - themed activities suitable for all ages.
