Chalk and Cheese Festival

Chalk and Cheese is an outdoor chalk art, food, and music festival in Platteville's City Park featuring nationally recognized artists; emerging, local creators, and you! Amateur adults and children can win cash prizes! Open to artists of all ages and abilities. Artists will create colorful artwork on the sidewalks in and around City Park. Visitors will be able to watch the art as it unfolds and listen to live music. The event will feature commissioned, professional chalk artists, creating larger works. Arrive at the event early in the morning to secure a spot! Limited drawing spaces available! Prize bags for top professional artist and top 3 for adult and youth categories. The Prize Bags include cash and goodies from the area! Spectators and artists will vote for their favorites. There will be People's Choice categories for professional, adult, and youth drawings. Food trucks, live music, and activities will be throughout the day.

City Park is located one block off Main Street in downtown Platteville. The one-square block park is crisscrossed with 8 sidewalks. Participating artists will work on the sidewalks.
