The Richfield Historical Society (RHS) invites all to welcome fall at our annual Blacksmith Day event. The celebration will be held Saturday October 5th, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at Richfield Historical Park located at 1896 Hwy 164, Richfield WI 53076, 1/2 mile north of Hwy 167. Admission and parking are free.
We’ve recreated a turn-of-the-century blacksmith shop, equipped it with genuine antique hardware and tools, and invited local craftspeople to help us showcase the blacksmith’s arts. Blacksmiths will also be stationed around the Sugar Shack and Pioneer Village areas, where demonstrations and free tours will be offered. Many of the handcrafted items will be for sale. We have thirty blacksmiths signed up, so there will be a lot to see!
This is becoming a very popular event for RHS. Food and beverages (including our world-famous maple syrup cotton candy) will be available, and there will be plenty of children’s activities, making it a wonderful family event!
Funds raised at Blacksmith Day and other RHS events support the Society's educational programs as well as maintenance of the Richfield Historical Park. For more information, visit richfieldhistoricalsociety.org and stay connected to RHS on Facebook and Pinterest.
The mission of the Richfield Historical Society, a 501c3 non-profit corporation, is to discover, collect, preserve, and promote the history of the Village of Richfield.
