Apple Barn Announces Annual Harvest Festival with Special Performances and Competitions
The Apple Barn and Bake Shop is excited to announce its upcoming Harvest Festival, a beloved community event celebrating the fall season. This year’s festival will take place at the Apple Barn and Bakeshop. The festival promises a full day of fun-filled activities for all ages, mouth-watering treats, and live entertainment that’s not to be missed.

Musical Performance by The Wanda Houston Project

We are thrilled to welcome the incredibly talented Wanda Houston and her band as the headlining musical act for this year’s festival. Originally from Chicago, Wanda Houston has dazzled audiences across the country and around the world with her powerful voice and captivating stage presence. With a background steeped in gospel, jazz, and musical theater, Houston’s performances are nothing short of electrifying. She has graced the grand stages of Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Broadway, earning accolades such as the NAACP’s “Best Supporting Actress in a Musical” for her role in “Sisterella.” Wanda’s rich, soulful voice has been featured on PBS’s Great Performances, and she has shared the stage with legends like Oleta Adams, Patti Austin, and Barbara Streisand. Her unique blend of jazz, storytelling, and life experiences will surely add a special touch to this year’s Harvest Festival.

The Big Dill: The Ultimate Brine Battle

In addition to the musical entertainment, we are excited to introduce a brand-new competition to this year’s festivities: The Big Dill, the ultimate brine battle. This pickle competition celebrates the bounty of the harvest season with a publicly judged showdown. Whether you’re a seasoned pickle maker or just a fan of tangy, crunchy treats, this is an event you won’t want to miss. Contestants will showcase their best homemade pickles, with the competition open to the public until supplies last. It’s a perfect opportunity to celebrate the fall harvest in the most delicious way possible.

Mini Cider Donut Eating Competition

Returning this year by popular demand is our Mini Cider Donut Eating Competition, a crowd favorite that challenges participants to see how many of our famous apple cider donuts they can devour in a set time. It’s a lighthearted and fun-filled event that’s sure to bring smiles and full bellies.

Family Fun and Seasonal Activities

The Harvest Festival promises to be a day full of family-friendly activities, delicious food, and entertainment that embodies the spirit of the season. In addition to our featured competitions and live music, guests can enjoy a variety of seasonal attractions, including a corn maze, pumpkin picking, and numerous fall-themed photo opportunities to capture memories with loved ones. The festival will also feature a wide array of kids’ events, such as scavenger hunts, painted pumpkins, bubbles, corn pits, and more. There’s truly something for everyone to enjoy at this year’s Harvest Festival.
