Sarducci's, Montpelier, VT

There is only one Italian trattoria in Vermont’s Capital City that overlooks the Winooski River and serves fresh pasta and wood-fired pizzas, and you are definitely going to want a reservation because this place gets packed in a hurry. Established in 1994, Sarducci’s has been serving house-made authentic Italian dishes hand-made from fresh, local ingredients for many years. Check out their crab ravioli with shrimp or their parmigiana dishes, and ask to see their wine list.

Vermont Pie and Pasta Company, Derby, VT

One of the premier paint and sip locations in Vermont, VPP also offers delicious fresh pasta dishes like chicken alfredo. Of course, the wood-fired thin crust pizzas like the classic pizza margherita or the decadent Applewood smoked bacon & chicken with caramelized onions are great too. But our favorite is the Tenderloin tips with gorgonzola and mushroom stuffer ravioli. 

Trattoria Delia, Burlington, VT

Located in the historic Vermont House, this traditional Italian restaurant serves classic pasta and pizza in an elegant dining space that features a grand central fireplace. Having served the Greater Burlington area for many years, Delia features menu favorites like antipasto, house-made ragu, parmigiana, spaghetti, fish of the day, and pannacotta. Plus, no trattoria is complete without a generous wine list, and Delia has a great one.

Papa Frank's Italian Restaurant, Winooski, VT

Slinging pizza pies and authentic pasta since 1984, Papa Frank’s is family-run, and Frank wants customers to feel like a member of his family. Plus, the menu could not get any more Italian, and you can get a pizza and garlic bread for starters and over 15 pasta dishes as entrees. The epitome manga, manga, Frank’s won’t leave you hungry.

Mimmo's Pizzeria & Restaurant, Multiple locations

Italian immigrant, Domenico "Mimmo" Spano established Mimmo's Pizzeria and Restaurant in 1995. Everything is made fresh and served quickly, and Mimmo’s offers dine in, take out, and even catering services. We are talking garlic knots, fried ravioli, subs, pasta, pizza, calzones, and more. Favorites include penne ala vodka, chicken florentine, and lasagne pizza.

Pulcinella's, South Burlington, VT

Specializing in the Southern Italian food of the working class, Pulcinella’s uses the fresh local ingredient to produce a rotating list of seasonal dishes. The ever-changing Specials Menu is alone worth the trip, if you can catch them. Refreshed every week, the last week in July featured a salad made with oven-dried strawberries, gorgonzola cheese, candied walnuts, and a house-made vinaigrette. Plus, the menu offers bolognese, meatballs, alfredo, and more. 

Trattoria La Festa, Stowe, VT

Since 1986, this intimate eatery has been pumping out authentic Italian dishes featuring organic ingredients from its local gardens. The menu is seasonal and based on the freshest produce when possible. In the winter, you’ll find heartier dishes such as ossobuco, risotto ai funghi porcini and fettuccine carbonara. But, in the summertime, you will find delicious, fresh puttanesca sauce and gazpacho soup. Plus, eat indoors or al fresco and enjoy the mountain air.

Cucina Antica, Shelburne, VT

Dedicated to serving as a true hometown bistro, Cucina Antica works with the following local farmers and artisans to bring wonderfully local and fresh food to their menu: Vermont Fresh Pasta products, Shelburne Farms, Footprint Farm, and many more. Their menu features house-made pizza, bruschetta with fresh local produce, and Bistro Lasagne also made with local ingredients.

Lago Trattoria, Newport, VT

Established in 2001, Lago has been cooking up Italian favorites for almost two decades. And, whether you are getting the chicken marsala, the spinach ravioli, or the lobster mac and cheese, each dish at Lago’s is fired up is fresh and made to order. Plus, check out their killer martini selection, as well as beer, wine, and spirits. Then, after your stuffed, take a long stroll along beautiful Lake Memphremagog on the boardwalk.
