Calvary Episocpal Church is a welcoming and inclusive community of faith, and we worship in the tradition of the Episcopal Church's liturgy with readings from scripture, prayers, and Holy Communion each week. We offer the laying on of hands and prayers for healing at every service. The Episcopal Church is welcomes all regardless of your faith tradition - or "none" - your ethnicity, language, gender identiy, education, income level, or anything else. The Episcopal Church adheres to the Nicene Creed and our Baptismal Covenant in the Book of Common Prayer. Our church family is deeply committed to community outreach and weekly provide food to those experiencing food insecurity through Dinner Together and Backpack Buddies. We support & host the12-Step Community, the arts & artists, ARC which supports persons with developmental disabilities, the Front Royal/Warren County Thermal Shelter, St. Luke's Community Clinic, the Congregation-Community Action Program (C-CAP), the Ministerial Association, the Warren Coalition, Selah Theater Project, PFLAG Woodstock, Samuels Public Library, and more.
We believe that all persons are beloved Children of God, and that we are to seek and serve Christ in all persons, respecting the dignity of every human being. We believe we are called to the discipleship taught by Jesus in Matthew 25. All are welcome at Calvary. No exceptions. God loves you.
