The Nutcracker

Join us for the wonderful holiday tradition of The Nutcracker Ballet. We are excited to present the full-length version of the Nutcracker ballet featuring Tchaikovsky's complete score. Follow Clara and her Nutcracker Prince as they travel through the Land of the Snowflakes and on to the Kingdom of the Sugar Plum Fairy where all of the sweets come to life. The run time of the show is two hours with one intermission. Lap-sitters under age 2 may attend for free. 

Note that tickets to our noon show are virtually sold out. Please consider joining us for the Friday and Saturday evening shows where there are many more tickets available!

While at the show, visit our unique holiday boutique to finish up your holiday shopping. The boutique - featuring ornaments, nutcrackers, handmade items, stocking stuffers, jewelry, books, toys, a raffle, and a large variety of sweets - will be open prior to and after the performance, as well as during intermission. Come early for the best selection! All proceeds benefit Festival Ballet Virginia.

VIP Experience (SATURDAY ONLY): For an extra $5 per person, you can become a VIP audience member! VIP members are invited to return to the theater 10 min after each SATURDAY show ends for a special Question & Answer session with FBV's artistic director and featured performers. Next, VIP members will get an opportunity to come up on stage to take photos with various featured performers and take a peek backstage.  It's a fun chance to see the costumes and props up close! The VIP experience will last approximately 20-30 minutes. This is a great opportunity for scout groups and theater lovers especially! Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
