Cox Farms, Centreville, VA

The Cox Farm in Centerville hosts a season-long fall festival, complete with corner market and pumpkin patch. One of the longest-running festivals in the state, the Cox Farm Festival includes the pumpkin patch, hayrides, and Fields of Fear for the bravest amongst you. Open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., this one is a staple.

Back Home on the Farm, Harrisonburg, VA

Located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley just outside of Harrisonburg, Back Home on the Farm has events all year. On Halloween, they throw the annual Great Pumpkin Party, complete with trick or treating around the farm all day long. Costumes are encouraged. Activities to enjoy include pumpkin painting, games, underground slides, carousel, corn cave, and plenty of pumpkin treats. 

Sinkland Farms, Christiansburg, VA

Sinkland Farms has hosted their pumpkin festival for over 25 years. Every weekend, Sinkland hosts live music and special events, like the "Punkin' Chunkin'," an award-winning catapult pumpkin slinger. Amazing Farm Fun at Ticonderoga, Chantilly, VA

Ticonderoga offers plenty of family-friendly fun! Pick pumpkins. Stop by the petting zoo. Ride a pedal cart. Kids will be tuckered out after a day at the farm. The Ticonderoga Farm is open every day this fall with a slight price increase on weekends.

The Great Pumpkin Fest at Kings Dominion, Doswell, VA

No trip to Kings Dominion theme park is complete this October without a stop by the Great Pumpkin Fest. Open every weekend in October, the Great Pumpkin Fest offers family-friendly events from 12-5 p.m., including a petting zoo and pumpkin painting patch. Stay late for the Halloween Haunt, one of the "most immersive haunted attractions in the Mid-Atlantic region."

Hunt Club Farm, Virginia Beach, VA

Hunt Club Farm is a Tidewater favorite. Stop by the petting zoo on your way to the huge pumpkin patch. Pick out your favorite future jack-o-lantern. Enjoy the live music in the barn before climbing the giant haystack. Come back at night for the Haunted Hayride and Field of Screams attractions.

Hickory Ridge Farm is as known for their wonderful pumpkin patch as they are for their impressive corn maze. For the more frugal amongst us, Hickory Farm offers a wonderful fall experience without many frills. Pick your pumpkin right from the vine and pay by the pound.

Pumpkin Village Fall Festival, Leesburg, VA

The Pumpkin Village Fall Festival in Leesburg is open longer than most other pumpkin patches, going all the way into November. Not only do they have the pumpkin patch and wagon rides, but also giant hill slides, moon bounces, and camel rides. Exotic animals, including lemurs, African cats, and tortoises are on display, too.

Marker Miller Orchards Pumpkin Festival, Winchester, VA

The Marker-Miller Pumpkin Festival dares you to "come find the great pumpkin!" Their bakery offers all kinds of delicious pumpkin treats, including pumpkin pie, rolls, bars, and donuts. Wagon rides are available throughout the grounds, but the huge pumpkin patch is the real treat.
