A Memorial Day Event
The Knights of Columbus, Assembly 2204 (Patriotic Degree), along with the 1st VA Revolutionary Reenactment soldiers, will host a tandem wreath ceremony to honor the unknown soldier of the American Revolution - located in the Presbyterian Meeting House Cemetery behind the Basilica church.
The ceremony will consist of opening/closing prayers, a short talk on the history of the Unknown Soldier, and about 15 men in Continental Army uniform. This will be followed by a presentation of colors by the Knights of Columbus' Assembly 2204 Color guard and reflections by some of our Founding Fathers by the Assembly's Faithful Navigator.
