Celebrate all that fall has to offer at Lewis Ginter’s annual HarvestFest! Come join us for a day of traditional fall celebration surrounded by the changing colors of our garden. Enjoy entertainment such as a pumpkin carving demo, line dancing, face painting, live music, family storytime, pumpkin painting, and more! Indulge in delicious fall foods like pies, bratwursts, and ciders. With merriment for all ages, it’s the perfect way to celebrate the season with family and friends!

Activities
Check out our face painting and caricature station for a fun new look and join in on family Storytime with Hank Thornhill’s reading his beloved new book, Friends of the Great Outdoors, followed by a hands-on sensory activity. Then, don’t miss the personal pumpkin painting activity and our live pumpkin carving demo by our beloved live carver Dana DuMont! Enjoy live music throughout the day by the Americana-Rock sensation The Pollocks, and be sure to stick around for the afterparty with Boots and Pearls Line Dancers, kicking off at 2 p.m. Everyone’s welcome to join in!

Live Music
Charlottesville’s own local band, The Pollocks, will be performing live from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. “The music can best be described as American rock, with the right amount of soul: The Rolling Stones meets Jefferson Airplane. There’s some Velvet Underground, Bob Dylan, The Beatles and Neil Young thrown in for good measure.” Get ready for a mix of crowd-pleasing covers and original tunes—perfect for music lovers of all ages!
