Fourth of July Celebration

Join Parks and Recreation on Thursday, July 4, 2024, for the Chesterfield Fourth of July celebration presented by Virginia Credit Union. This event includes a Kids' Zone, food vendors, live music by The Morgan Lynsey Band, special entertainment, fireworks and more!

Kids Zone and Entertainment:

Kids Zone:

The Kids Zone, back by popular demand, will feature bounce houses, slides and more! New this year is a mobile game truck featuring the latest in gaming options. The Kids Zone will close at 8 p.m. Entry will be $5. Cash or card.

Entertainment:

This year’s musical entertainment, The Morgan Lynsey Band, will perform a mix of energetic country, pop and classic rock. The band will play sets at approximately 6 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. A DJ will provide musical entertainment when the band is not on stage.

Time:

Gates open at 5 p.m.; fireworks will begin at dark. There is no rain date.

Cost:

This event is free. Attendees can leave and return at any time.

Allowable Items:

One clear bag per person - all bags subject to inspection prior to entry into the event:

A clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bag no larger than 12" x 6" x 12" or a clear plastic resealable zipper bag 1 gallon or smaller

Small purses or clutch bags no larger than 6.5" x 4.5" (approximately the size of a hand) with or without a handle or strap, in addition to one of the clear plastic bags

While non-clear bags are prohibited, exceptions are typically granted for medically necessary items, and diaper bags in the presence of a child, after proper inspection

Prohibited Items:

No alcohol, glass bottles, illegal weapons, personal firework or tents/canopies are allowed on county property.

No pets; only service animals are allowed. Please do not leave your pets in the car, even with windows cracked.
