Docutah - International Documentary Film Festival
About
DOCUTAH is now in the 12th season of providing world class documentary films in Southern Utah. The 2021 Festival has been expanded to 100 films to include those from the 2020 Festival, which was cancelled because of COVID restrictions. It still will be located at the Larry H. Miller Megaplex Pineview Theaters in St. George, UT.
DSU DOCUTAH International Documentary Film Festival celebrates the art of documentary filmmaking. The Festival, which is part of Dixie State University, gives students in its Film degree program the opportunity to interact with professionals in the discipline.
The Festival offers a week of entertaining films from all over the world, as well as year-round programs including monthly DOCUTAH at Pineview film screenings, all of which provide creative, cultural, and educational engagement.
For 12 years, DOCUTAH International Documentary Film Festival has provided attendees with a global experience, bringing quality films and filmmakers to Southern Utah. Attendees will see films which, often, are shown nowhere else and have the chance to mix and mingle with producers, directors and the subjects of their films. Films are screened at the Megaplex Pineview Theaters and outdoor venues among the red rocks and stunning scenery of Southern Utah and are combined with DOCTalk panels with filmmakers, intimate conversations, where audience members can glean insights into topics filmmaking and the business of film, special events relevant to the films and musical entertainment.
