4th of July Freedom Fest Parade and Celebration

Join the SSL 4th of July Freedom Fest Parade & Celebration and help us put the "unity" in community!
This is a free admission event
Schedule:
8:00 AM: Fun Run
Chase the chicken in our - 1 mile fun run! Free shirt and snacks with your $5 registration fee. The run starts at 2250 S 300 E and finished at Fitts Park. A shuttle to the starting line from Fitts Park parking lot is provided.
9:30 AM: Flag Ceremony
Before the parade begins, join us for a flag ceremony at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (2250 S 300 E). After the ceremony, the parade begins from this location, ending at Fitts Park.
10:00 AM: Parade
The 4th of July Parade has been a long-standing tradition full of hometown pride and celebration. Bring the family and friends to wave and make some noise for City vehicle, dancing groups, business, bikes, and more demonstrating our South Salt Lake love and pride. Candy is a sure thing, but please be safe and don't cross the the marked lines when collecting candy.
If you would like to join the parade, REGISTER before June 28.
10:30 AM - 1:00 PM: Celebration at Fitts Park
After the Parade, join us at Fitts Park for some good old-fashioned family fun, with face painting, games, music, bounce houses, and other entertainment. Food trucks will be available to purchase food.
