Join the City of San Antonio World Heritage Office and its partners for the 9th Annual World Heritage Festival! The World Heritage Festival is an annual collaborative event to celebrate and promote the San Antonio Missions, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

10:00 AM - We're Still Here Tour
Join a National Park Ranger as well as a living Mission Indian Descendant(s) and representative of American Indians of Texas at the Spanish Colonial Missions (AIT/SCM) to learn about the history of Mission San Juan and the lived experience of its enduring community members. The tour is 45-60 minutes and includes light walking.

1:00 PM - Nopal y Tu: The Tour
Join a National Park Ranger and partners from the San Antonio Food Bank for an immersive agricultural tour of the thriving and historic Mission San Juan Farm. The tour includes a look into the historic demonstration farm with an emphasis on the sustainable farming practices that are still feeding San Antonio and an acequia demonstration. The tour is 45-60 minutes and includes light walking.

6:00 PM - 8:00 PM: A Vision of History
Experience an insider's look at Mission San Antonio de Valero. This special program explores the structures and frescoes that shape this iconic site plus, some new discoveries. Step into the past through the new Mission Gate and Lunette interpretation and discover how Alamo research helped determine what this structure may have looked like when it was built in the 1700s. Surround yourself with the beauty of the ornately painted interior of the Church inside the new immersive Sacristy experience. Discover more about the frescoes that were almost completely lost to time and the conservation work being done to preserve this precious structure. Lastly, dig into history and get an up-close look at some incredible items found during the year-long archeological survey of the Long Barrack. Admission is free but advanced registration is strongly encouraged. Entry to the program is every 20 minutes and the total experience lasts approximately one hour.
