Wag N’ Wash, a specialty retailer focused on the wellbeing of pets, is excited to announce the grand opening of its latest location in Mansfield. Located at 414 Highway 287 N., the new store will celebrate its opening from Oct. 4 – Oct. 6. In keeping with the company’s mission of caring for dogs and cats from head to tail, Wag N’ Wash Mansfield will be a one-stop, neighborhood pet store that offers a full-service grooming salon, self-serve pet wash as well as thousands of high-quality, brand name products including food, treats, toys and other pet care essentials.
Wag N’ Wash Mansfield is owned by local entrepreneurs Rick and Barbara Garner. With a professional background in retail software, Rick spent years traveling for work and sought an opportunity that would keep him closer to family. Drawing on his deep knowledge of retail business models and operational best practices, he decided to take the leap into entrepreneurism. In 2022, Rick first opened a franchise with legacy brand, Pet Supplies Plus, and after continued success, was named Corporate Pet Partner of the year by the SPCA of Texas in 2023. With an interest in continuing to help local pet parents in the area, Rick decided to open emerging concept, Wag N’ Wash Mansfield.As lifelong pet owners, Rick and Barbara share the franchise’s commitment to charitable involvement and animal care, values they will continue to uphold at Wag N’ Wash Mansfield.
As community partners, Rick and Barbara have and will continue to make connections with other local community organizations to strengthen the bond between companion pets and their guardians through proper products, services, education, and supporting a healthy pet lifestyle.

To celebrate its newest location, Wag N’ Wash Mansfield will host a weekend-long grand opening event with 4x rewards points available on all purchases. Occurring Oct. 4 through Oct. 6, the weekend festivities will include:
·Friday, Oct. 4: Ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4 p.m. with the Mansfield Business Alliance Group.
·Saturday, Oct. 5: Mystery scratch cards will be given to neighbors, free goodie bags will be given to the first 100 neighbors, complimentary bag of donuts for the first 30 neighbors from DonutNV truck from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m., free nail trims from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. (proof of rabies vaccination required) and complimentary pet washes.
·Sunday, Oct. 6: Free small bag of dog or cat food for the first 100 neighbors, complimentary bag of donuts for the first 30 neighbors from DonutNV from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., free nail trims from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. (proof of rabies vaccination required), complimentary pet washes and a raffle giveaway basket to support a local shelter.
