Peticolas Running Club Social Run/Walk
HOWDY FOLKS! Welcome to the state fair of Texas! We’re getting an early start on the celebrations here at the Peticolas Running Club September Run/Walk in anticipation of one of the longest standing Texas traditions. Did you know that the State Fair of Texas runs for 24 consecutive days which is the longest running fair in the country and draws 2.5 million people? Join us with a run/walk, breakfast tacos from That Taco Dude, grab your Big Tex Peticolas branded pint glass along with the three brews to fill it! Let’s celebrate all things Texan!
Check in is between the hours of 8AM-9AM. You can start your run/walk whenever you would like or join the 'group' start at 8:30AM and run with the group! The rolling start allows you a choice, flexibility to go at your pace but please arrive by 9am (check in ends promptly at 9AM, thank you!).
Along the trail there will be mile markers out, and bottled water available to take with you (there is no water on the course), or bring your own filled water bottle.
The social run includes the run/walk, a custom branded pint glass, three brews and That Taco Dude breakfast. The three Peticolas brews can be enjoyed anyway you want, meaning, you can drink all three in the Taproom as drafts or have one draft and then take two cans TO GO or in any combination.
Event Schedule:
8:00 AM-9:00 AM: Check in and start the social run/walk (rolling start between 8:00 AM-9:00 AM) OR
8:30 AM: “Group” Start (for those who want to run with a group)
9:30 AM: Breakfast
10:30 AM: Social run raffle
11:00 AM: Last call
11:30 AM: Social run/walk ends
