Manifest the Future is a free showcase that celebrates original, solo works from Austin youth aged 8 – 17. The festival, hosted by New Manifest Theatre Company, takes place on January 25th at Austin Community College Highland.

Young artists can submit poetry, songs, stories, and monologues. All festival submissions should take inspiration from Xavier Alvarado’s painting, I Was Given a Tree by a Wizard. The submission deadline is January 18, 2025. If selected, performers will receive a $50 honorarium.

Local educators and industry leaders will oversee the festival on January 25th, offering valuable performance insight and mentorship.

To help participants prepare for the event, New Manifest is hosting a free writing and performing workshop on January 11th at the Austin Central Library.
