Light the World Giving Machines

The Light the World Giving Machines are returning to Pearl for three weeks this holiday season. From Nov. 18 through Dec. 8, people in San Antonio are invited to participate in this unique giving event.

The Giving Machines look like big red vending machines, but instead of dispensing snacks and sodas, people can purchase meals, hygiene kits, developmental toys and medical devices for five local and two global charities. There is even an option to purchase a goat!

The Light the World Giving Machines are a small and simple way to do great things for the San Antonio community.

This year, the Light the World Giving Machines will benefit the following local charities:

·        San Antonio Food Bank

·        Wish for Our Heroes

·        Alamo Head Injury Association

·        Vibrant Works

·        Catholic Charities of San Antonio

The Giving Machines are sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as part of the “Light the World” campaign. All operational costs are covered 100% by the Church, so every dollar donated at the Light the World Giving Machines goes entirely to charities to support their missions.
