The Rotary Club of El Paso will celebrate the 11th year of El Paso Winefest with a Grand Tasting and elevated Culinary Competition with Southwest University this October in downtown El Paso. Both events are all-inclusive so your ticket gives you access to sample all of the delectable food and beverages.
Saturday, October 19th, 2024 is the day for our Grand Tasting, with a tantalizing variety of signature creations by 25 of our region's renowned chefs and top-rated restaurants. Located in the heart of downtown El Paso on Main and Stanton Streets, the Grand Tasting will feature 500 wines from around the world, all for sale through the El Paso Winefest app. Our on-site wine store will feature sommelier selections and wine education to help patrons order their favorite wines. We will have great music and will also be exhibiting fine art and Winefest posters for sale. The Grand Tasting runs from 1:00 to 4:00pm Saturday, October 19th.
On Sunday, October 20th, from 1pm-3:30pm, El Paso Winefest will feature the Gastronomic Battle - a culinary competition led by the Culinary Institute by Southwest University and featuring Michelin Star chefs such as Chef Mikel Alonso. The Culinary Village will showcase a competitive creative playground where the Culinary Institute students will dish out flavors perfectly paired with a diverse selection of libations. Wines, beers and bubbles will be perfectly paired with twelve signature dishes prepared by the student teams. Heavier bites will also be available. Attendees will help crown the Champion Culinary team of the year.
Sponsorships for the events are available, which include admission to the Reserve Tasting event on Thursday, October 17th, early admission to the Grand Tasting on October 19th and the Culinary Competition on October 20th, and other exclusive benefits.

This year's event will feature a special commemorative poster designed for the event by Steve Hastings. ArtMasters of El Paso will also display the works of local artists such as Hastings, Paola Martinez, Leonard Wren and Patrick Gabaldon during the Saturday and Sunday events. El Paso Winefest Web App
The best way to keep up with all things Winefest before, during and after the event is at elpasowinefest.com. A new web app contains details on all the wines, restaurants, art, chefs and special guests. Users can explore the wines they want to try by searching on factors such as style, varietal, origin and price in advance and place an order from anywhere, right on the app. Wines will be available for pickup within about a week of the event.
