A Walk in the Park

This free event, held the 1st Saturday in June, is your opportunity to stroll each of the Earth-Kind Gardens, which include the perennial garden, annuals garden, herb garden, vineyard, shade garden, shrub and grasses garden, crape myrtle garden, potager garden and vegetable garden, as well as our most recently added greenhouse and the new pollinator garden.

Each garden and area will have Master Gardeners ready and willing to answer your questions. These gardens are situated across the park, so wear your walking shoes, take pictures, ask questions, or just simply enjoy the beauty of Myers Park. As an added bonus, we will have a limited number of golf carts to help you get around the park!

Join us as the Collin County Master Gardeners host A Walk in the Park at beautiful Myers Park & Event Center in McKinney, Texas.

Our special guests this year are members of the McKinney Plein Air Society and the Art Club of McKinney, who will be stationed throughout the gardens and park with their easels and paint brushes, putting strokes on their canvases. They love to paint outdoors. Be sure to stop by and say hello to our guests.

RAIN DATE: In the event of rain, A Walk in the Park will be rescheduled for June 8th.
