This free, family-friendly event in Cookeville showcases the rich traditions, music, food, and artistry of our local Hispanic community in the Upper Cumberland and helps foster a sense of community and cultural understanding. Join us for a day of Hispanic culture at Dogwood Park, on Sunday, September 15th. National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated each year from September 15 to October 15 to honor the cultures and contributions of both Hispanic and Latino Americans. It began as a week-long celebration in 1968 under President Johnson and was expanded to a month by President Reagan 20 years later in 1988.

We haven't forgotten about the fun for our youngest amigos!  The Children's Fiesta Zone will be brimming with exciting activities for kids in Cookeville, such as games and crafts, all designed to spark their creativity and cultural curiosity. From face painting with vibrant Latin American designs to storytelling sessions in Spanish, the Children's Fiesta Zone is where little ones can learn, play, and embrace the spirit of Hispanic Heritage Month!
